One Step Forward ABA

We were so happy to find this therapy center right when it opened in January. My 4 year old son has been getting therapy and it’s been so amazing and life changing. Every member of the team is so kind and understanding of both my son, his needs, and the needs of our family. I definitely struggle with expressing myself and our family’s needs confidently, but everyone is so kind I have never felt uncomfortable talking about our struggles at home or school. My son has trouble expressing his needs so I normally get nervous about leaving him places. But here I feel so comfortable leaving my son for his therapy sessions knowing every single team member is kind, caring, and understanding, and truly listens to him. Rocco: The therapist that works with my son is Rocco, and he is the absolute best. He’s so patient with my son and what is extra special is you can tell he is delighted at who my son is as a person. Teddy so enjoys his time with Rocco that he hardly knows he’s “working” on hard things. They have such a good rapport, and even when my son gets upset or frustrated he moves through his emotions more quickly with Rocco than at home. Rocco is not intimidated by any of the upsets or behavior my son shows, but takes it all in stride. He’s always available any time I need to ask a question or check in, and always tries to accommodate when we need to reschedule. We are so glad that he is in our lives and couldn’t wish for a better therapist. He is definitely, as my son would say, not full of poop. Gina: Our BCBA, Gina is FANTASTIC! She works with us in exactly the problem areas in our lives to make doable solutions we can implement at home that my son practices at therapy. It makes making changes in our house SO MUCH EASIER. We have changed the way we get dressed and brush teeth and now there is no running away, screaming or crying involved. We just do the thing we are trying to do. It’s a dream come true. I feel like we have a totally different and more pleasant home life. We are working on new goals every month and it’s always something practical that actually helps daily living to have less drama and upsets. She truly gets my son and can figure out what motivates him. And he loves her so much he wants to make her happy! When I’m personally struggling implementing something at home she never judges me or makes me feel bad, she just helps me problem solve and get through it. She is very available and happy to answer any and all questions, and even to do home visits to observe problem issues in person to try and come up with the best solutions for our family. Five out of five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Danielle: The secretary at the front desk, Danielle, is so wonderful! I have been many places where I like the Doctor but dread calling because the front desk is short tempered or unpleasant. Well, I actually enjoy calling the office at One Step Forward -I get to chat with a friend. It works to their advantage because I never put off calling or emailing here because Danielle is so great! Kim: Kim, among her other duties, plans special group events for the kids getting therapy at the center to develop their social skills together. My son really looks forward to them. We often get a keepsake during holidays from the sessions we can remember his fun with. It’s super cute!

I can not say enough positive things about One Step Forward. Everyone is so friendly, patient, caring, and loving. And they are amazing therapists. I highly recommend their services.

The center is set up perfectly. Warm and engaging. Kimberly is the most kind-hearted person. Beautiful person with passion and integrity.
