810 MS Specialty Center

I had a friend that has been coming to this clinic for over two years. She has struggled with her health with multiple urinary tract infections an ankle fracture as well as Osteoarthritis. All these concerns made her condition to deteriorate. It was questioned when she was discharged for cognitive therapy. She clearly has memory concerns. When she is asking about things that occur around her, she says “I can’t remember? How can the 810 therapist say she”graduated”. It was asked for her to be retested which was declined. She was scheduled for a hip replacement, so her treatment was paused. When it was decided to delay her surgery for health reasons, a phone call was made to restart for therapy The 810 clinic return the email denying her reentry Because she had not met her plan of care. The response is puzzling because they knew of all her health issues and because she wasn’t meeting what they expected they declined to Take her back into program. What kind of program would deny entry to a multiple sclerosis patient Who is struggling? I had thought this place was a great facility, but after this experience, I wouldn’t Recommend it as they only care about money and not the patient. It was said in the beginning that she would need an aid present for toileting. After a year, noticing others didn’t have an aid, it was stopped because it was expensive. It was also suggested that she have 24/7 care. That is also expensive. She does have care daily for 3-4 hours daily and husband frequently works from home to care for her. If was offered to have an aid present again, but 810 never responded. They had no interest in having her return to program. I wouldn't recommend this clinic. An MS individual can find a place closer to their home as we have found. I am sure she will be treated with dignity and respect.

I highly recommend 810 MS Specialty Center. I have been coming for 8years. It is a major support with my MS journey. The program is individualized to your needs. Offering Physical,Occupational and Cognitive Therapy with outstanding Staff to match. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable in all areas of MS. The connection with others with MS is so important. We are all in this together. I know the program is the reason I still can walk. I love coming here and they play good music.

Wish I had known earlier in my diagnosis that Physical Therapy is GREAT for people with MS. It really does help!

I have been receiving physical therapy for nearly eight years at 810 MS Specialty Center and definitely attribute my slower-than-expected pace of progression to the knowledge and expertise of the staff there. Recently, I began occupational therapy at the same facility for some dexterity issues, and am so thankful that those therapists are also able to help me. 810 MS Specialty Center provides care for each individual and continually evaluates their methods so that they are meeting the challenges each person confronts. I feel so fortunate to have found a place that deals with my physical being, and at the same time allows me to meet others dealing with MS and its challenges.

I highly recommend 810 MS Specialty Center. I give it 5+ stars. I have been coming here (formerly called Total Rehab and Fitness (TRF) ) 2 times a week for over 8 years. Everyone here is so friendly, and very informative about MS. Every time a new symptom occurred they help me, whether or not it was to exercise it or come up with a new technique to make me able to continue to improve the way I had to adjust to doing something. It's an awesome place to come to because living with MS is a difficult challenge and this place makes it so much better living with it. Thank you 810 MS Specialty Center.

If you have MS then 810MS is second to none. The therapy they offer is specific to MS. Before finding 810MS I had been to multiple other physical therapy offices, but the therapists never really understood the unique challenges for someone with MS. At 810MS they only see people with MS, so the therapists (PT, OT, cognitive therapy) know what we need and how best to achieve results. On top of the treatment, 810MS fosters a real sense of community - I have been going there for over 4 years, and the staff and other patients have become friends. Lastly I would say that if you have MS and you wait until you need PT, then it's already too late. The Disease Management Program at 810 MS will keep you from acquiring deficits you never even realised were coming.

Nothing I say can fully capture how wonderful the 810 MS Specialty Center is! I've had MS for thirty years, not surprisingly I've had many different treatments...in all that time 810 MSSC is the best treatment I've ever received. I started in 2015 and I can't imagine ever leaving 810 MSSC!! I've had wonderful PT care elsewhere, but no other facility provided the ongoing care needed for folks with chronic illness. The physical therapists are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in providing care for MS. They also give what's needed when orthopedic issues arise. The occupational and speech & language (aka cognitive) therapists are equally knowledgeable and skilled. It's especially helpful that the treatment is always aimed toward increasing my ability to manage in my day-to-day life. The research-based, quarterly evaluations are incredibly detailed and give clinicians and patients useful updates. In addition having all these treatment modalities under one roof is not only convenient to me, but provides the coordination of care that is often lacking elsewhere. Sorry this is so long, but I want to make sure you know just how amazing 810 MSSC is! If you have, or know anyone with, multiple sclerosis, this is the place to get care. It is life changing!

One of the best decisions I ever made was to call John about his unique program. That was eight years ago; I have been a patient there ever since. 810 MS Specialty Center helps me live my best life with the disease. The amazing and compassionate therapists and staff have been with me every step of the way, (literally). There is an open gym with areas for physical therapy (focusing on mobility, balance and strength) and occupational therapy (concentrating on hand and arm strength and fine motor skills). In addition, over the years I have had cognitive and behavioral therapy, which have proved invaluable to me. Shout-out to my husband for getting me to Waltham three times a week to work out. Patients are from every walk of life. Our symptoms vary, but one thing we have in common is doing what we can to manage the disease.
