I finally have decided to write this review, over a year later, due to not being ok with the way my daughter & I were treated! I had my teen daughter here for counseling from various problems she was dealing with emotionally. I will not give names publicly, only the incident described. My child really liked her counselor and she finally had found someone that she connected with. We were struggling financially and we did miss some appointments due to my car breaking down. I informed her counselor and let her know as soon as I could get her there I would. It was very important for her to continue her therapy. The counselor acknowledged our problem and said she would wait to hear back from us. By the time I was able to start bringing her back was about 1 month later. I started calling, texting, leaving messages, etc.....no reply at all. Finally I spoke to another office and found out that they had just discharged my daughter from her counseling. There was never a call, message, warning letter sent by mail, absolutely no communication on their end. I had some calls after that & were very unprofessional and her counselor acted as though she didn't care or even know my child at that point. It really was devastating for my daughter because a lot of her problems were related to feeling rejected by others in her life. Than her very own counselor she liked & trusted did that very thing to her and rejected her. Once again, another person she trusted had abandoned her! I was sad & angry and I guess I still feel this being that my daughter was really affected by this happening. All I was ever told was that due to missing so many appointments her counselor just closed her services with her. We were never given other opitions to continue, never told we could start back up, nothing else was suggested for my child to keep her counseling going! This counselor was the 1st one she trusted & started opening up to and than she just left her for reasons that was not my daughter's fault! As a mom, I felt horrible not being able to get the car running quicker and was not wanting that to happen. Shame on the professionals involved at the office on Ferncreek for not caring and making any effort to keep my daughter in their counseling services. In this field of work, with children involved, you should of done better!
