A Piece of the Puzzle Speech Therapy

My child is a picky eater, and it made meal planning, restaurants and family/friend homes stressful. Ms. Barbara applied a systematic, but fun and engaging, method for exposing him to new foods. And, it worked! He began consistently eating some of the foods they worked on in 'food school'. It seemed to build up his confidence, too, because he discovered he can try new things without needing to worry about his or our reaction.

We’ve had an amazing experience with Mrs. Buffy! Our son has extreme food aversions. Therapy has helped him immensely but has given myself and my husband the tools we need to better feed and help our son get past some of these issues and have a healthier and happier relationship with food and feeding times! Couldn’t recommend her more!

Buffy has been a LIFESAVER for our family. When we finally found her I was in tears almost every day over my son’s eating habits. She has been so patient and accommodating. She has frequently changed up our methods to support my son and make him the most comfortable possible. We are forever indebted to her services and support to our family. 100/100 recommend. I can NOT say enough about Buffy and her efforts, kindness and willingness to understand the needs of my young son. He was a very picky eater and so particular about textures that he wouldn’t even look at or touch certain foods. Buffy made it fun for him, created an interest in him and built a foundation for me to help him in this food journey. He went from not eating any meats to eating at least 2 everyday. From absolutely refusing to even look at a food to picking up a food while I’m cooking or at restaurant and trying it with little to no hesitation. And any mixed food like Mac n cheese, forget it, he wouldn’t try it… till yesterday! Then he ate all of it. This is a HUGE step for him and a big milestone of success in his journey. We adore Buffy and appreciate all her efforts!! 1000000000% recommend!!

The very best speech and feeding specialist we’ve had the privilege of seeing!! Buffy is truly “one of a kind” and goes the extra mile to truly meet the child exactly where they are in every aspect. Such a blessing to us to find someone so compassionate for children on the spectrum! 🧩

My son has been seeing Ms. Buffy since January 2025 and so far I am very pleased with the service we have received. She makes speech therapy fun and very interactive which is great for my son since he is on the spectrum. She is patient and always very calm with him. I would highly recommend her to parents with kids on the spectrum.

We have been seeing Buffy for several months now for our three year old son who has a severe speech delay. He has found a confidence in his own voice, nearly doubling his original vocabulary we walked in with. Buffy is never phased, even when my son has tough days. She is persistent in winning her students over and establishing a strong bond of trust that truly speaks to the level of care and therapies she provides. We are so thankful to have her as a specialist on our son’s team and as a guide in continuing to educate us as caretakers how to best show up for our son.
