Please be cautious when dealing with ABA Centers/Cares Group, as our experience with them has been very concerning. They repeatedly told us they were working to negotiate a rate with our insurance company. However, when the insurance company did not agree to the negotiated rate, they informed us that they could not provide services for our child until the insurance company approved them a negotiated rate. When we contacted the insurance company, the representative confirmed that we did have approval for services with ABA Centers of Florida. We were also told that we could receive treatment at the in-network rate, as there was an approved exception on file. The insurance representative also clarified that the insurance company does not negotiate rates directly and that we could be held financially responsible for any amounts not covered. Additionally, we recently discovered that the provider had been appealing ABA coverage for school-based services without submitting updated clinical information. Because of this, we have now exhausted our appeals options for treatment ABA treatment in the school for our child. This group's handling of our case has been extremely questionable and has caused a significant delay in our child's access to essential care.
I recently contacted ABA Centers of Florida regarding services for children with special needs. Unfortunately, my experience with their admissions coordinator was disappointing. The staff member I spoke with had limited English proficiency, which made communication difficult and left me feeling uncertain about the quality and clarity of the services offered. As a parent, clear and effective communication is essential—especially when seeking support for children with communication challenges. I expected to speak with someone knowledgeable who could confidently guide me through the process and answer my questions. Instead, the language barrier created confusion and concern. I hope the organization considers the importance of having staff who can communicate fluently and professionally with families. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their services.
My first visit was great however they have turned out to be such a disappointment. After not needing to do an evaluation with them because my daughter's eval report was acceptable their communication with next steps went down. They sent the authorization to the insurance and evern the insurance called me to tell me they have been calling them for a week to change the provider because the one they out was out of network but they had doctors there that were within network. I have called 3 times to ask for a office manager. Last call was 8/21 & today is 9/16 and no one has called. Wheb I visited the location my only concern was that they did not have a ramp how does a aba therapy not have a ramp seemed like a huge violation. The guidance for parents who just got the diagnosis feeling so many emptions and not knowing where to go from here this place is not it. Thank God we have found a loving place. ABA centers of florida do better.
ABA Centers has truly been life-changing for our family. They go above and beyond in every way for their patients—no other place even comes close to what they offer. Their facility is absolutely state-of-the-art: a gorgeous, welcoming space with sensory gym equipment and even a video game room for teens. Their philosophy is child-led and play-based rather than rigid DTT, which makes such a difference in engagement and progress. What really sets them apart are the extras: field trips, outings, in-center activities, flexible weekend hours, and even travel support. Honestly, no other center provides this level of care and opportunity. I can’t recommend ABA Centers enough. If you’re looking for a place that truly prioritizes children and families, this is it.
No idea why all the negative reviews. We have been with ABA for the past 2 years and have seen incredible growth for our kiddo. From RBTs to BCBAs to the administration and helping navigate insurance- everyone has been amazing. I highly recommend this place!
Loves this place. Zero complain. My son therapist and coordinator are the best, they always update me and we get together to talk about his progress. O recommend this center. Grateful!!🙂
I have nothing but good things to say about this center. My son has been receiving services for more than a year at home and in clinic. The progress and development has been astounding. The rapport he has with his RBT and BCBA is unmatched. Everyone is so friendly and so very passionate about what they do. I cannot recommend them enough. I’ve seen comments about delayed responses and/ or evaluations , all I can say is that there is a lack of specialists in central Florida that can properly diagnose our children and even more of a deficit of specialist to work with them and this causes extremely long wait lists and result wait times. This is not a center issue it is an industry issue.
Please read first!!!!I really wished I read the reviews before getting services from ABA centers. Parents please stay away it’s a scam!!! They refuse to provide the evaluation and every time I call they claim they will follow up. They don’t respond to my emails. It really exhausting trying to get services for you child and agencies takes advantage of our situation. It’s incredibly HEARTBREAKING!!!! My pediatrician recommended her and I told her to not put families through this. The now wait list is a sales tactic because you will wait for everything else. Please parents STAY AWAY!!!!
