hate to do this but I’ve been wrestling with the fact of what’s right and what’s wrong, I also hate to do this because I believe this place did so much good for my son, I recommended them to people who needed help, I boasted about them to people, I truly felt they were a perfect fit for my son, until they weren’t. So on Friday, I was dropping my son off to school as I normally do, I pull up into the parking lot, now to give you a. Little back story my son has been working with this guy (I’m not going to name any names) well everytime my son sees him or has to go with him he freaks out I’m talking saying no don’t go with him, cries to come back to me, ect. Well on Friday he was doing the same thing except he was throwing his book bag on the ground, running in front of my car to get to me just really upset to go with said person. So standing in the door way while all this accorded was my sons IEP teacher (who I thought was on my sons team) so I said (possibly in a louder tone considering I was near my car and she was by the door of the entrance) I said “I’m glad someone is seeing Antonio’s behavior cause no one has seen it yet” she obviously didn’t understand what I was talking about cause she said “what do you mean” or something to that effect she got closer to me and I said again “I’m glad someone is seeing Antonio behavior cause no one has seen it yet, I tried to get 👩🏫 (that’s what I’m gonna call his person on his case I guess you could say) to see his behavior” she proceeded to say “would you like me to tell 👩🏫 about this” and again I repeated “yes I would because no one has seen it” so that was the end of it I go to work, but then I get a text that says “can you meet with 👩🏫, the owner of the facility and another 👩🏫.” I said ok then I said is everything ok she replied back “we’ll talk at 2:30” so 2:30 rolls around I get to the meeting we sit down and the owner starts to tell me that my Behavior this morning was disrespectful, that I hurt the guys feelings that works with Antonio he was shaking and crying and upset, and that I was pointing and yelling (basically trying to say I was shaming the guy in front of people now mind you no one was around us ) but then started to say my son will now be discharged because of this. I started to cry of course I also started to explain that I didn’t mean any harm by what I said, or to hurt anyone ( why would I wanna hurt anyone) , I also then said you have cameras why don’t you look at the camera and see what happened and then she said “we have witnesses and we can’t have parents or staff thinking it’s ok to do that” I’m thinking in my head do what??? Have concern for my child??? also mind you NONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO I TALKED TO THE GUY NOR THE IEP WERE IN THE MEETING!! I just couldn’t believe this happened over me having concern for my child’s well being, I never said that the said guy was doing anything wrong to my son or anything of that nature, I was just trying to get my son help to possibly fix the problem or find a solution to calm him when this happens because I felt bad he acted this way to the guy (which every morning I would said Antonio be nice to said guy and try to have a good day). Also before i even got to explain my side of the story they had there mind made up to discharge my son! Other things to add, while my son was attending, staff would let my son call them mom and told me they did to my face! and they also taught my son at one time to say “nigga” it was one day and my son never said it again never heard anything else from staff about that? Kinda strange if as they said my son may hear it from his dad? Weird. And when I got in to some stuff with the law staff (IEPs) was looking up my mug shot and why I was there (which is none of there business they are there to help my son not be in my personal life) and was showing other staff members talking about me! And my children’s father would drop my son off to school and supposedly staff would say comments to him! Again I loved this place I ignored all the red flags!
I absolutely cannot say enough good about this program! They are attentive and listen to each and every concern! The staff is exceptional!! Everyone is so happy and you can tell they all absolutely love their students and want the best for them! They are more than willing to go above and beyond for their students. The progress I have already notice in my kiddo after just 3 weeks is amazing!! They truly take their time to build a bond and get to know your child and understand their needs and the way your child communicates! I was a nervous mama wondering if pulling my child from public school was going to be the right decision and I can honestly say I am so very happy that we have went through with ABA therapy solutions! My child LOVES getting up in the morning and going to school! He is always so excited to see his RBTs and has come home with amazing communication skills and a great attitude everyday!! Thank you all so much for all the effort you put forth every day!! It does not go unnoticed!! Thank you for helping my family!! We will forever be grateful for all you do!!
ABA Therapy Solutions changed my families life! My son started with them when he was diagnosed at age 3. He continued with them from home Therapy sessions to attending in clinic at two different locations as they grew bigger and bigger. That should be a testament to how amazing they are. My son stayed with them until he was 8 and they literally had to make us leave! I would have loved for him to continue going there, we didn’t want to leave. They were so amazing to him and our family. They were so amazing though that my son was ready to move on and attend a public school. They literally gave him all the tools for success. He didn’t talk until he was about 5 years old, they got him talking, reading, writing, literally things I longed for him to be able to do. They taught me how to be able to cut his hair, and his nails. Things that seem so silly but are HUGE victories for us. I could literally sit here and tell you every wonderful thing they have done for us but I would be here for a week typing. Their team is AMAZING, caring, and like a second family to us now. Even after we had left the clinic for public school they were still there for us no matter what we needed and they didn’t have to be. My son is thriving now and it is 100% because of the services we received from ABA Therapy solutions!
Do not waste your time with an assessment. Extremely unprofessional with no details over the phone and refused care due to interest in the Knapp Center. 0 stars if I could. There is a reason i’m only the 3rd review, and there is a big reason the director is so afraid of your child leaving for another facility…
Extremely friendly staff.
