Ability Plus Therapy

I can’t express enough how amazing ability plus therapy is! They went above and beyond for my family and my daughter during her time there, Miss.Jennifer was her speech therapist and she is amazing! She’s very informative on what she does with your child and gives you tips and things to work on at home! I can’t recommend this place enough!

We are so thankful to Ability Plus Therapy and Courtney! My 4 year old daughter had a severe elbow break that required two surgeries. She had lost a lot of her range of motion which required her to go to physical therapy. My daughter was afraid to go to physical therapy at first, but Courtney made her feel so comfortable and made all of the exercises so fun! Now, Avery considers Courtney her best friend, and best of all, her range of motion is back!

Doesn’t get any better than Ability Plus Therapy! From the caring dedication of the therapist to the kind and efficient front desk staff, this center is truly the best! The owners care and offer state of the art equipment for your child. Have a question or concern they are there with the wisdom and understanding you expect from a therapy center. We are so blessed to have Henry learning from Ability Plus! He has come a long way and I know he will reach his full potential with their direction!

Ability Plus was a complete answer to prayer. I had been struggling with finding a PT for my youngest son (who has a diagnosis of HIE and developmental delays) because I felt like none of them would listen to me. This is definitely not the case at Ability Plus! We were blessed to be partnered with Mandi Porter, who is one of the most patient people I have ever encountered. She has a wide variety of tools that she uses when treating my son and she really honors what he shows her. She is able to identify when to push him and when to back off. He loves her very much and smiles just when we mention her name. We just completed our 3rd round of intensive therapy through Ability with Mandi and we are blown away by how God has used Mandi and Ability to help our son. He has far surpassed what the doctors originally said he would be able to do. Ability utilizes the neurological and physical connection through the therasuit. My son loves putting the suit on and it blows my mind that work is being done by even just WEARING it. But they wear the suit while doing exercises to increase those connections in the brain. I have to mention the familial atmosphere that happens at Ability. It is a warm, welcoming environment. Most the of the therapists know my son's name - and they don't even treat him! As you walk through the center, you hear lots of laughs and joy. Your child is really SEEN here. I also appreciate how the leadership makes rounds through the clinic and is aware of what is going on with each client. They will literally stop and talk to each child as they walk through the clinic. It really is mind blowing that they take time to do this. Finally, I have to give a shout out to the front of house. Anyone knows that the front sets the tone and that is true here as well. The ladies in the front have a ready smile and welcome for each person and really treat you as a person, not a number. They too, genuinely care for each patient. I highly recommend Ability Plus for treatment. Although we have only gone for intensive PT treatment, I have gotten to see the therapists in OT and ST and feel very comfortable recommending them as well. If you are wondering if it is worth the drive or flight or whatever you have to take to get here - it is. :)

Our daughter has been coming to Ability Plus Therapy since 2019 - coming back every 6 months for a PT Intensive. I honestly do not have a bad thing to say about any of our experiences. We have been so fortunate to work with some of the BEST physical therapists in the state - Mandi, Heather & Tonya are beyond AMAZING!!! Mandi has been our primary therapist for most of the intensives and our daughter has come to love & adore her as if she was family. She actually gets so excited to start each intensive and is sad when they are over. I have never doubted any of their abilities - and I’m always in awe of how they adapt to any situation and problem solve on the spot. They make each exercise fun which is a huge bonus for our daughter in order to keep her engaged. And while we have not done any occupational therapy while there, we have come to know several of the therapists (Corrine & Tally) and they are equally as AMAZING! I love that they have a large enough space to be able to do so many activities without ever feeling cramped for space like other facilities we have been to. Also to note, they do utilize the Therasuit with PT intensives and I highly recommend! We’ve been lucky to do her last 2 intensives with another friend with similar attributes - which is highly motivating for the both of them! And now we will be life-long friends!
