Sam was terrific! She did wonders for me after my hand surgery.

Very happy for the service and the staff.I will recommend this place to anyone who needs OT.
Exceptional experience. Very knowledgeable therapists. Would highly recommend able hands.
I had wrist fusion surgery in May 2025. After having the cast removed six weeks later on a Wednesday I began looking for a therapist the next day. I was given numbers to different Certified Hand Therapists. Never even knew that was a thing! One place told me I could come in on Monday. Not wanting to wait until four days after surgery to start therapy I called Able Hands next. That turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to my wrist. They told me I could come into the Old Bridge office the next day. Kim and Minette were amazing. I have a huge sweet tooth and they had snacks galore in that office too! The Edison office is more convenient for me so I started going there. Sam and Evelyn. Evelyn and Sam. Those young ladies in tandem are as connected and fluid as mercury. Sam's leadership qualities are unquestionable. Having Evelyn(who is razor blade sharp) as back up meant inevitable success for me as an Able Hands patients. My wrist is so much stronger and I am confident moving forward. Thanks guys.
I have just completed a treatment program at Able Hands for an injured finger that was still swollen and painful a few months after a fall. I could not be happier with the treatment I have received. I am out of pain and the swelling has gone down a great deal. My occupational therapist, Sam, is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate professional, and her intern Evelyn is incredibly competent as well. Because the treatments at Able Hands take place in a group setting around a communal table, I was able to see how Sam works with each of her patients, and how she skillfully and patiently guides her intern Evelyn at the same time. Sam listens attentively to each patient, plans their individualized treatments, and then clearly communicates to each one what she is doing and why. I felt comfortable and cared for from my first visit. I was just so impressed by Sam’s ability to capably keep the busy office running smoothly while, at the same time, making all of us feel seen and heard. She seemed to instinctively know what each of us needed and always made sure that we got it. In my weeks at Able Hands I came to see that excellent occupational therapists are actually teachers as well. Their work is not just about fixing their patients’ injuries. It is about teaching us to recognize and understand them so that we can continue to take care of ourselves after our therapy with them is done. That is exactly what Sam and Evelyn did for me. I am very appreciative and I cannot recommend them and Able Hands highly enough.
Definitely amazing staff. They tend to you. Offer snacks and great conversations. They’re gentle and will let you know when it’s time to do a little extra work. They are welcoming and very considerate of each individual client. Definitely love Sam & Evelyn. Incredible to work with!
Dr. Gabby and her assistant Rachel are wonderful and professionals in their field of occupation therapy. Dr. Gabby is up front and honest with every patient about any questions pertaining to their medical issue. She tells it like it is when it comes to any swelling or treatments she sees in her patients and tells them what exercises they are going to have to do and why. Dr. Gabby is understanding when it comes scheduling and works with her patients to fit them in when she can. The only odd thing about her office is there no check in window, so you have to go around the wall and do things the old fashioned way and talk politely that you have arrived or that you are a new patient. Also, there is free parking in both lots at the Edison location, just don't park in any spot that says reserved and ypu are fine. I was in a horrible automobile crash and had my 5th metacarpol bone fractured. Dr. Gabby helped with the swelling, took measurements on my mobility and strength and gradually helped me heal myself. Her assistant Rachel was always kind and cheerful, always asking if everything was okay and helping when it came to stretching out my hand. Overall this location and facility is top notch and I highly recommend.
When faced with a life altering injury, not knowing what to do after surgery and which rehabilitation center to choose from can be very difficult. After talking with the staff at Able Hands, it was abundantly clear that this was the place to go. I had torn two major ligaments and a nerve in my dominant left hand leaving me no mobility, immense pain, and troubling concerns on how at such a young age I’d cope with the lack of motion in the hand I’ve predominately used my whole entire life. After multiple weeks of actively working with Gabby and her team inside the office, and at home with exercises instructed to complete on my own recognizance I can proudly say my mobility, strength, and dexterity have improved back to before my injury had occurred. I strongly recommend coming here for treatment and if you’ve been on the fence about where to go, I hope this review gives you the trust an confidence I had felt when taking such an important step. From the knowledge of Gabby and her apprentice Deanna at the time, to the atmosphere and respect from my fellow patients who I had the pleasure of meeting, I would never choose another place to go if ever met with an injury that meets there criteria for treatment ever again. I would like to thank all members of Able Hands for their hardworking dedication to such an important part of the journey it takes when faced with such trying times. I’ve completed my time with them and it was such a rewarding and wonderful experience. This organization deserves more than the 5 stars google allows you to choose from. Again thank you so much for all of the help over these last few months. -Dominic
