I know everyone’s experience can be different, but I truly feel like this place deserves a fair perspective. Reading through the negative reviews, I actually see a pattern — many of those people sound like the ones who needed to be here the most. I say that with empathy, not judgment, because I’ve been that person before: easily triggered, defensive, and convinced I was “right” when really I was hurting. For me, Accent Therapeutic Services has been a place where I’ve finally started to feel safe enough to open up, be understood, and actually start working through things I’ve carried for years. I haven’t completed all my services yet, but I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve felt truly seen and supported. There was even a day when I physically couldn’t bring myself to go inside for my appointment — I just sat in the car, overwhelmed. Mrs. MaryClare came all the way down to meet me, gently walked me up, and even offered to hold my hand. That moment sealed it for me. She’s one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met and truly willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel safe and cared for. The energy here is comforting — not because they coddle you, but because they care enough to meet you where you are and help you heal at your own pace. Every person I’ve met has shown compassion, patience, and respect. I understand that misunderstandings or tough days happen, but to anyone reading the reviews and hesitating — please don’t let someone else’s pain stop you from getting help. This place has made a real difference in my life, and I’m deeply grateful to finally have a team that helps me grow instead of making me feel broken.

I went for my first therapy session here, went to suite 319, then was directed by a paper to go to suite 311. I went in to the room/lobby and looked for someone to check me in, there was no one to be found. I waited for 5 minutes before checking to make sure I was in the right area, because I always doubt myself; "Accent Therapeutic Services" on door. Okay, I'm in the right place. I look across the room while in the doorway and see a woman sitting down in a chair across the other room, staring at me, no wave or anything, just looking at me. I believe she is the therapist that I was going to see. Well, I go back into the lobby to sit and wait thinking she's likely with a patient and I'll have to wait my turn. 30 minutes go by and I check the room across again and there's not a soul to be found. The lights were turned off and no one was in there. So I left. It was a waste of time.

If I could give him zero stars I would. My account is now in collections over a 15 min conversation that included no counseling services at all… we were discussing expectations and he immediately went into how I needed 40+ hours of therapy 😳 !! 40+ hours seems a bit much. He’s a liar and a thief who’s true motive is to make money off of your tough situation!! Interestingly enough he’s also a former cabinet worker turned counselor who gets referrals from current KY cabinet staff. If that doesn’t tell you enough about his shady business tactics go visit him for yourself and you be the judge. Upon asking him about the $286 charge (that was never discussed upfront) he commented “my time is money”, what an interesting comment from a person who’s supposed to help people in need. Beware of the thief that he is and please go elsewhere for your counseling needs ✅.

If you appreciate someone who is honest and blunt, I would highly recommend Jamie. He will tell you as it is, and end each session with a plan of action.

If anyone is considering taking your child here for therapeutic reasons, I definitely would not they will turn your children against you trust me it happened to my wife and myself. Also they enable your child instead of teaching responsibility and what it takes to be a successful adult. The therapist will lead you into thinking he is on your side about certain issues and then just stab the knife right in your back. And this place deserves half of star and that’s is being generous.
