My son was signed up for services through school where he wasn’t seen for months, until I reached out and asked what the issue was. I found out the counselor was “no longer with them due to not seeing students as expected”, so then we are switched to another girl who has been just as inconsistent. Appointments would be schedules and sent to me and I’d ask my son if he saw her that day and he didn’t. Once summer started he was still supposed to recieve services, it’s been two months and he’s seen his counselor ONCE, it was day of with an hours notice of picking him up. She then tried to do the one hour notice again while I was at work and he was at daycare and that didnt work for me and so she said we could schedule the next week, it’s been another month with no reply, no appointment & no one reaching out so I’ve called for my son to be discharged from services. Sad because he did like his counselor, but what’s the point when he isn’t being seen?
