I don't know how to start this review because I have so much to thank the entire staff at Acorn Health. My son has moderate autism and has been attending for over a year from Monday to Friday. They are very patient, very careful, and very dedicated. I admire the dedication of Director Keri, who is always giving reports on Lucio's achievements. My son has made a lot of progress and is achieving his goals. I am very happy and grateful for everything. I would like to thank Ms. Ginny for all her patience. Thank you so much, Acorn Health.
The worst experience! The site coordinator is the worst; the BCBA looks clueless even during family training. The RBTs have no idea what my child’s plan was. They handed my kid tablet and were chatting amongst themselves. After a week of my son attending this center, he had more tantrums requesting for a tablet. When I asked the BCBA, she minimized my complaints. My husband said we didn’t want our son having tablets at the center. She basically looked us in the eyes and said we have to use tablets unless we (parents) come up with a different strategy. My son always gets home smelling of pee after they asked that we pack change of clothes which they never touch. The center itself has a very weird smell. I had to cancel after few weeks. It’s already tough enough and don’t need anyone to make it worse!
My son loves it here. The work they do is wonderful. I truly feel that they are helping my toddler in so many ways.
Acorn Health Annapolis has been an answered prayer in my families lives. My child was diagnosed with autism at age 2. She didn’t answer to her name or have any eye contact. She was disengaged and in her own little world. She now answers to her name and is more engaged in her surroundings. She has been going for a year and I’ve already seen so much improvement! The specialist make sure to create goals specific to my child’s needs and behaviors. They make sure to communicate these goals to me so we can incorporate them at home too for consistency. I am incredibly grateful for AH and very blessed my child goes here.
