Actify ABA

I want to base this review off of my experience as a whole with actify and a previous client. I am a newly registered RBT , I’m also a mother and a disabled adult. So my line of work isn’t just a hobby or to collect a paycheck. When RBT’s grow attached to a client they tend to go with their client. I am a DV survivor and my previous clients family wasn’t allowing me to use appropriate times off and even had me break rules due to her constant pressure and demands as she was upset about a previous RBT who left. I would work extremely long days and extended hours per her request. I even was expected to allow her to dictate and control sessions and she did. The whole experience was actually traumatic for me as I even was expected to answer her waking call or would receive a barrage of calls. I had no time off. I applied to actify with the intention of working with the same client previously however realized I wouldn’t be able to go through that again and informed her of such. I want to add I am blind in my eye driving isn’t an option especially after having my daughter. Actify is discriminative and they don’t treat people as people. The client being able to state I was unreliable due to transportation and Actify believing it is a fatal blow that causes a lot of RBTS to resign from jobs. I was hired and cleared to work however due to Actify having a preconceived notion without even allowing me to be on the field is heartbreaking. I love my job, I love what I do. However to see companies treat rbts this way and disregard me and prioritize others over me feels wrong. Individuals who have cars are late so why would an individual who uses public transportation not be reliable or treated the same. I want to add my previous client who I would show up an hour early for never once had attendance issues. Even when I was walking I constantly showed up 10-30 minutes early for session. Even a commute from Annapolis I would show up 45 minutes earlier to still prepare for session. I have recommended Actify to those who drive and those who are RBT certified. It’s disappointing to know I will never receive a client due to a parent abusing a system and people which resulted in discharge. If you as an RBT drive and are able body I recommend. RBTs who do not drive and are not able body do not consider this company

The RBT was so patient with my child, and we are finally starting to see progress! It was worth all the hassle just for my kid to start following prompts. This place is so kind and caring, and worked extra hard to accommodate our schedule.
