My sister and I were gifted with a whale tour with Captain Lee. This was the highlight of our trip. Captain Lee was incredibly knowledgeable of all the animals, especially the birds that we came across. The boat was perfect moving slowly along the shores. The scenery was magnificent and we saw lots of wildlife. But the most amazing thing was seeing the breaching of a humpback whale and finding ourselves in a pod of it had to be 15 whales. We also encountered a Fin whale! We highly recommend taking the tour. It was eight hours of fantastic scenery and wildlife. If you wanna know about Kodiak take this tour.

We had a gorgeous day to be out on the water - a little gray beginning but beautiful blue skies in the afternoon. Lee knows where to go to see wildlife. We saw lots of puffins on water and up close on land. We got to see two humpback whales breaching several times. Lee knows the behavior and can predict when the whale will breach next so cameras can be ready. Another passenger with quality cameras/lenses got extraordinary photos! This was our first time to see breaching - so special! Fin whales were sending up multiple blows. He also found at least 30 otters rafting . I got to hear puffin wings flapping on the water and otters making sounds because we were floating on his small boat with only 5 of us aboard! I was free to move around to multiple locations to take photos!! Lee is super friendly and makes a point to converse with all throughout the day. Highly recommend you book a trip with Lee!!
Captain Lee Robbins is a master at finding birds and other wildlife. He spins wonderful tales of adventure in his 38 foot, warm and cozy, clean toilet, fully stocked w water and snacks and a delicious made to order box lunch, 8 hour boat tour around the waters of Kodiak island. His charming, intelligent and considerate manner addresses the needs of his six passengers max. Do not miss this opportunity. It is well worth the 450 pp cost plus a generous unsolicited tip. Book early!
Really great afternoon spent on the ocean. Beautiful sights, incredible weather and lots of otters, marine mammals and birds. The Captain is entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife, photography and just about anything else you can think of! He gamely tried to teach me about the local birds. Sadly I still managed to fail the impromptu bird quiz he game me on our way in, but he tried! The boat is super comfortable with lots of great spots to view the wildlife and take photos. My husband and I will definitely take another boat trip with Captain Lee on our next visit to Alaska.
Excellent Adventure! Captain Lee is an expert at finding wildlife and sharing the beautiful ocean that surrounds Kodiak Alaska. We saw multiple Humpback Whales Breaching, Horned/Tufted Puffins, Over 100+ Sea Lions diving off of 50+ft rocky cliffs, 30+ Sea Otters, Harbor Seals, Bald Eagles and Countless Nesting Birds. We didn't want the tour to end!! Thanks again, we will never forget this amazing Alaskan experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
