AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS- I know we don’t have a lot of options in this area but trust me, this place is a nightmare!!! 1- the facility is an old barn without decent heating/cooling to the point they have to close the facility on hot days.. 2- when we switched to in home aba they made my 3 year old cry and scream for me constantly because they weren’t listening to her needs 3- they left our house a DISASTER after coming over. It’s enraging how they allowed this to happen- they let my 3 year old throw her sensory bin products (pasta and rice) all over our house without cleaning it up (these are choking hazards to my 1 year old) And yes this is the type of standard this place holds. Long story short we stopped abruptly because of the mental damage this was having on my toddler (night terrors because of their services) and now they want to charge us $500 for just stopping! Are you kidding me??!? This was a nightmare for my whole family. Trust me, find ANYWHERE but here for your ABA therapies.
We started our ABA journey at Aim Star Learning with our daughter diagnosed with autism at the age of 27 months. When thinking about ABA we listed qualities we were looking for in a center. Kind Flexible/adaptive Family centered Consistent Aim Star Learning had been every quality and more that we were looking for in providing care for our daughter and family. Aim Star Learning has been a support to our family in ways that we will never forget. Kind, every person at Aim Star Learning was genuine and compassionate. Daily we were greeted with smiles from everyone and personal acknowledgment and greetings by name. This not only fostered a personal relationship, but modeled social behaviors for my daughter to learn. Flexible, Aim Star Learning worked with our family to accommodate our needs in every way. We had flexibility in scheduling, and flexibility to adapt treatment for changes in her needs. Daily Aim Star would tailor her goals and programs to her needs. This was big factor of her success and reason why our daughter loved ABA. On days she was having a hard time Aim Star would adapt and find ways to motivate her to accomplish the programs. Family centered, our family was involved in determining her goals, programs and educated to help her at home. We were offered family training which helped us as parents work with our daughter and create consistency between ABA and home. Learning how to help with behaviors and have “tools” for navigating challenging situations in the home setting. This allowed us to understand our daughters needs and be the best parents for her. Aim Star Learning supported family involvement for programs such as: sibling choice and sharing. Consistent, Aim Star Learning was present and ready for therapy when scheduled. Our daughter worked with multiple behavior therapists and the techniques were consistent. Her care was the same exceptional level with every person regardless of who she was with each day. We recommend anyone needing ABA to Aim Star Learning. The leadership and staff are outstanding and will help navigate ABA therapy.
Aimstar is a wonderful place for my son. He has been going there for over 4 years. Four days a week for about seven hours. He gets more of what he needs here than what school can provide. He works on communication, life skills, and social development. He works 1 on 1 with a therapist all day. He does therapy at the Aimstar building but they do offer in home therapy as well. Most importantly we trust the owner and staff with our son.
This place has been absolutely wonderful for my son! He's progressing better here than in the 3 months he was in preschool!
When children arrive at this clinic, they throw off their coats and run into their room of choice without even glancing back at mom or dad because this place feels so comfortable for them. They are genuinely cared for by staff and every child makes progress immediately. The kids work on social skills, following directions, managing emotions, body awareness, feeding, academic skills, and so much more. I see kids go home at the end of the day, exhausted, regulated, and happy. I can't recommend Aim Star Learning enough.
Outstanding owner with a legendary dedication towards her students. As a 4.0 student at UW I found my time partnering with her personally and professionally an outstanding experience. She is a true master of Precision Teaching.
