I have used Dr. Christopher Alexander for five years and I have NOT had a single issue. Be prepared for your appointment.

Dr. Alexander has been a blessing to our family, for legal reasons I was in a time crunch to get my kiddo the diagnosis he desperately needed to be successful in school and in life in general. Every place I was reaching out to was a 6month-1yr wait. By then, my time to advocate for this child might have passed. From the moment I spoke to him over the phone he did everything in his power to help us with our situation and get my kiddo in to see him. Our interactions with Dr. Alexander have been nothing but professional and he truly shows empathy in the situations he is helping with. I can’t recommend him enough, and wish more of our healthcare in NM was geared in this same fashion. Thank you!

Such a good child psychologist. He has a niche for the foster kids which imo opinion is tricky, because you have genes and u have trauma. This is why I believe this doctor is really good top choice. He changed our daughters life. We can get her the OT help she needs. Good recommendations ✨ 👌

We took our daughter to this psychologist for testing. We are so happy with the recommendation we got from this doctor. We can finally get our daughter the help she needs to function every day at school. His report was comprehensive and spot on. It has helped us to understand our daughter more and we can start a positive treatment plan in the right direction. I can not express how thankful I am that we went here. No one else was helping us, because they were not as confident and experienced in the area of testing as this doctor. How anyone can give a doctor a bad review when they are so hard to find is beyond me. Its just that. No one will review unless they are not happy. Dont let the negativity fool you. This doctor has changed our family for the better.

Dr Christopher is not patient with my son who cannot do everything he wanted. He will not give my more time on another day… this happened 3-4 yrs ago. Not far to me and my son.

Chris was absolutely rude! Talking to me like I’m stupid! He is the one that doesn’t return calls it took me 6x on leaving him messages to get my child evaluated and all he did was talk down to me and told me to do some math when I find out when is last time he was evaluated and if and when 12 months come around and give us a call back. If I could give him zero stars I would!!!!!!!!

My son was evaluated here last year and I am shocked to read these bad reviews. He was nothing but professional with my family. His evaluation was spot on with my inclinations regarding my 9 year old son. His report was thorough and completed in a timely manner. I do believe getting the appointment was harder simply because he did need a referral. The referral came from my son’s therapist, not his pediatrician. Not everyone who has a good experience leaves a review, so take the bad ones with a grain of salt.

I was referred by my insurance company to Dr Alexander for testing and diagnosis for my 10 year old son. You need a referral from your primary Dr to be see by him. I did that. I emailed to set up an appointment . Dr Alexander responded promptly saying he does not test for sensory issues. On his website it says he tests for a plethora of disorders many of them include sensory issues. I asked if there was a questionnaire to fill out to give him more detail about my son's issues to determine if his repertoire of testing would benefit my son. We have had 3 different primary Dr's due to insurance coverage changes so they do not have specific notes regarding all his issues. I communicated in detail, then asked if he was willing to see him. He never responded. I waited a while , about 10 days, for him to respond. I understand how busy he could be. This morning I called to ask if I could make an appointment. Dr Alexander answered the phone. I told him who I was and was waiting for a response to my email. He responded in frustration. He asked me questions that I answered in detail in my email. It was evident he was not interested or cared to help my son. I then said if you are unwilling to test him why can't you just say so. He hung up on me. So unprofessional. As a child psychologist there should be a degree of compassion for children who have debilitating issues. He showed no compassion and was unwilling to even suggest another option since he was unable (or unwilling) to help my son. He works with mostly foster children so if your child is not a foster child it seems he will not help you. I was a licensed foster care counselor at one time and if I was practicing at this time I would not take my foster children to this cold-hearted unprofessional.
