My son started ABA therapy here when he was about 22 months old. When he arrived he was a child that exhibited lots of harmful behaviors, like meltdowns and even banging his head on the floor when upset. He did not know how to communicate at all. He attended the Rockville location for about a year and in one year he was a new child! He started to learn to communicate his needs, interacting with us more and the behaviors improved tremendously. I would like to thank the Rockville team who worked with him particularly Francis, Kelly F., Cameron and Darian. Francis showed so much kindness and dedication in the care of my son - I am forever grateful. I could tell he really cared to see my son thrive. Kelly was their team's BCBA at the time and she was so dedicated in really helping him throughout all his issues and explained to me thoroughly all of the things they were working on so that I could also replicate them at home. Cameron and Darian also showed kindness and patience with Daniel. Samantha worked on occupational therapy and he acquired so many useful skills, like learning to get dressed, use a fork. My son now attends the Frederick location, but I am so grateful that he started his journey at Ally in Rockville.
My son has made so much progress since starting in September of 2024, he goes into ABA with excitement and he is willing to learn. He has excelled so much since starting and I’d recommend any parent to enroll their kiddo here with autism
Ally Behavior is an amazing facility! My daughter has made amazing strides with her ABA therapy. The facility is very clean and the teachers and assistants are amazing and care about every kid they encounter. I would highly recommend them for their services!
Ally Behavior in White Marsh is a great ABA school. I have seen improvement in the last two months of my child going here. He is genuinely excited to come to school every day. Also, his toleration levels have increased. I can see that the behavioral tech my son works with genuinely cares about my child and that helps a lot when you have an Autistic child. It takes a community to raise these children with their special needs.
My child has been enrolled at Ally (Beltsville location) for almost a year now. Prior to Ally, we did have at home ABA services for about a year and a half. Our decision to go with Ally was because the center offers all the therapies our child needs and the full day program allowed me to return to work full time. This review is based on my family’s experience so far. It is pretty lengthy but hopefully it’s helpful to someone. Pros: - Like I stated before, Ally offers a variety of therapies for children. Our child receives ABA, Speech/Language, and Occupational therapies. When researching centers, I was able to find some centers that had only two of the therapies in one but I don’t think we found any other center that offered all of them. This made it convenient for myself and not having to find multiple places to get these services. I also like that all of the specialists are in one place and can collaborate on treatment plans to really get a good idea as to what works best for your child. - The center allows for a lot of exposure to other peers for them to get the social interactions in both play and classroom settings. My child is learning how to appropriately play and other skills such as waiting, taking turns, and manding. All of those are things we struggled with at home and our child has made huge progress in those areas. - Every month we have meetings/trainings to discuss our child’s progress in all of their services (ABA, Speech, and OT). One of my concerns was how well I would be kept in the loop about our child’s progress and challenges, because with the at home ABA I was there and able to see every day what was happening. But Ally has done a great job with consistently keeping me informed about all things great and not so great. In between the meetings we use email to communicate and every day at drop off and pick up we have brief conversations with the RBTs or BCBA about our child’s day and what they have been working on. - The kids at Ally get the opportunity to work with multiple RBTs. This was another reason we chose a center because at home you get one RBT who comes to work with your child. Having multiple RBTs is good because it allows your child to generalize their skills and take direction from different people. Children with autism sometimes have a difficulty with that. Also, at home when an RBT had to cancel a session for whatever reason, our child would miss a day, but having multiple RBTs at the center we don’t encounter this. - The environment at Ally has been so welcoming and my child loves going there. It gives me so much relief and joy to see that my child looks forward to going to Ally. I am also always greeted with smiles and you can tell these people really care for the children and it’s not just some job. Even those who do not work with my child personally as very kind and welcoming. It is a good feeling to leave your child with different needs with people who have their best interest in mind. Cons: - When I first requested information about the center I was not aware that there was a waitlist. It took about 6 months to get an offer to tour the center and about a month after to get our child transitioned into the center. I had planned to return to my job sooner( I was teleworking to do the at home ABA), but I am glad we waited. - The hours are 9a-5p and I was not sure how I could work full time. Luckily I have a job that is flexible as well as a partner who has early work hours so it works out for us, but this may be difficult for some.
My son (who is 3) has been attending Ally going on 2 months now and he has learned SO MUCH being in this program so far. The staff is amazing, especially Indeya Sanders. Such an amazing hard working women. Very nice and understanding. They are quick with responding as well. I would recommend Ally to anyone in need of getting their child into a program. Keep up the GREAT work Ally, and thank you all.
I cannot begin to talk about the excellent service Ally has given my grandson and my family. This center should be a partner with public education programs targeting children diagnosed with ASD. The staff was so compassionate, skilled, and professional with us. The staff not only worked with my grandson, but they helped me with key activities to reenforce the training he received at Ally. A bonus for us is when he left Ally he was reading sight words, his alphabet, and writing his name. Ally tapped into the best parts of my grandson and helped improve upon the areas that were associated with ASD. Thank you Ally!!!!!
My son stayed at Ally for a year. Although Ally moved twice during this period, we could clearly tell that he really enjoyed staying there and he loved his therapists. His BCBA was supper supportive as well and she helped us a lot in the transition to the elementary school. As some reviewers have mentioned, we also feel the turnover rate of the therapists there is pretty high, which was the same for our previous ABA providers. It might be a common situation for this field. My son was super lucky that one of his therapist helped him consistently through the whole year and he does miss her a lot. :)
In November of 2022 my little girl graduated from Ally Behavior. In a span of one year - they were able to get my little girl from non-verbal to talking all the time. They were able to really figure out what worked and didn't work for her. The staff is just amazing and yes - there are sometimes turn around. You will have many different staff work with your child - that's the nature of health care. But everyone they employed - my child loved dearly.
I was very happy about my daughter's experience with Ally Behavior. They worked well to provide for her needs and made time to discuss any concerns with me in regards to her. They made sure she had a wonderful experience, and made sure she was ready for her school environment when she exited their program. I would recommend anyone to give Ally Behavior a chance.
