My experience with Rustin Blas was amazing. He expedited the process and arranged for prompt delivery of all documents. I am glad I called Regional Finance Directly

Everything seemed good until I let them know my (very much an adult in mid-twenties) son was in the hospital with a condition his doctor had dismissed and urgent care dubbed as a mere UTI. Well it wasn’t. I have been urging him to participate with ACRC for years. Well, the immediate amount of sexist and irrational mother blaming I received was ridiculous. His surgeon at ER didn’t even think the condition was so serious at first. Until it was. And I brought him in my PJs and advocated for him. I was there every day. He lives with us. His dumb workers from ILS and job coaching were too stupid to look up the condition and that there is often no sign nor to listen to reason. Well, his coordinator got all whipped up by them and reacted, lobbing blame at me. They can verify all evidence and records but this was a kick in the face in a time of distress for him and us. They didn’t care about him. They wanted to attack someone.

My son has been on their case years and not has had help with one thing. His legally blind. I asked for assistance several times to assist with glasses will not. I'm looking for a day center. I can take my son so I could work. I called alter for help. They cannot help me they can only say put your son in a day care. I choose not to put my son-in personal daycare with 1 on 1 staff who are not familiar with child with special needs. My son has already been abused in that situation. I turned to alta for help because I do not know sacramento, They do not help navigate the system. No help in support to families when they don't know where to go.. At least that's has been my experience. I closed the case because I feel like it's a waste of time. Having a worker being paid for my son on their case load and has yet to help him with one resource in three years. Shame on your system for failing this child.

Extremely disappointed. As a parent of an ADHD and low to moderate Autistic teen the team of evaluators I was told, only provide services to individuals with substantial disabilities. According to their website it states otherwise. Please see attached. So meaning to say that the agency is not able to help individuals of the lower spectrum of Autism or ADHD. Even with previous medical and therapy documentation of history provided by insurance. When the lower to moderate of Autism with ADHD can be just as severe as the moderate to severe cases. They put my teen along with myself who is also a nonvisible disabled through a process with all the information that I had given for more than a year requested just to tell us that their agency is not able to provide the services to my teen because what they are looking for is a substantial case. Based on their two hour in person evaluation on him. If I had known that I would have been OK with the services he had already. Which is just weekly therapy. What about preparation for adulthood and society? I know I'm also assisting him but I am aware there are resources like them. However, because of what I had read on their website I requested their services to prepare my teen as he transitions into the adult world which is in a few years. You read so many cases of tragic incidents when it comes to those who are of the Autism Spectrum that typically society doesn't know how to handle. Unfortunately Alta Regional turns away those of the lower to moderate end and most of the time it's the lower to moderate being mishandled in society. Because they seem like there isn't really nothing wrong but yet there is, especially if you are with them continuously to experience their high and low days. In the photo that I have attached it does not mention only assisting substantial. Something I believe they pick and choose who they would like to give services too with whomever evaluated my teen.

As of April 2025, not much has changed. I hired an attorney from Sacramento, CA, a few years back, Gordon Bones, does estate planning but also help me win our case. It was regarding reoccurring violations of my adult non hearing non speaking sisters “Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act” with ACRC & STEP Agency. Sis is partially conserved by DDS. I’ve experienced retaliation for years for being a whistle blower family member. A employee of STEP Agency under ACRC, my sisters weekday caregiver, was fired for being a whistle blower. Just read all ACRC reviews online or try YouTube and view the ACRC appeal cases heard at UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE NINTH CIRCUIT in San Francisco, CA. The managers and director sweep all complaints under the rug. Their good at twisting the words in your non hearing non speaking loved ones mouth. There are a few good employees and caregivers but they fear their managers. For the life of me, it was on and off, sis and I could not pry ACRC tight grip on my sister, keeping us from spending quality time together on vacations ,even if it was for couple hours away or one week. With the help of my attorney, the judge ruled us sisters could visit out of state and locally for a few weeks! My sister was so happy and excited she shook my hand lol! We are back to square one though. It’s never ending. Back to court. Sis and I were asked to have someone join us on our trips again, retaliation is never ending, and twisting my sisters words. Make sure and save all your supporting photos, emails and documentation. Thank goodness for a bill taking effect January 2026. Assembly Bill 1147, known as the Disability Equity, Transparency, and Accountability Act of 2024. It primarily aims to address issues of equity, transparency, and accountability within California's regional center system. The bill mandates that regional centers be transparent in their operations, ensuring equal access to services for people with disabilities regardless of race, location, or other factors. It also increases accountability by requiring regional centers to be more responsive to client needs and to develop corrective action plans when performance is below standards. Wish us luck! 🙏🙏🙏
