Got a psychiatrist named Jennifer Miller to help treat depression and psychosis. She gave me a medication that had me have an episode as a side effect. I was profusely confused when I called (For some reason, I thought her name was Jessica at the time?) I apologized almost immediately after, even crying, and explicitly told her it was a side effect and I was ashamed of my manic episode. My phone was shut off by my mother, who I already informed Jennifer was controlling and abusive. I left her 3 voicemails asking her explicitly to email me so we can schedule sessions in a way that was easier for me and so I could schedule them for when my phone was turned back on. I was ignored all three times. Last week, I left a voicemail again to try and contact her. It was then I was emailed and informed I had been discharged for not showing up to appointments (that I didn't schedule) and for behavior that was caused by the medication she gave me, a behavior I already apologized for and I explicitly told her I was ashamed about, leading me to believe she just wanted an excuse to drop me as a client. This psychiatrist was extremely hard to get contact of, and I faced consequences for it even though I put in all my effort and got back none.
I saw Nicole Bartlelt for medication management. She displayed questionable ethics and morals. There was also a lack of response to calls and messages. In therapy with Joel Winston we spent more time talking about him, his interests, family and friends than addressing my needs. No treatment plan established even after six weeks. I have taken my mental health treatment to a different, non-affiliated, clinic.
Nicole is always very helpful and listens to what is going on. She is able to think outside the box. I’m very thankful for her guidance and help
