I can’t say enough good things about this office! Sarah and Wendi are amazing at what they do! They are also moms and amazing advocates for their clients wanting the absolute best for them! We were on a wait list and there is a process for getting in but it is truly worth the wait to know my daughter has the best team possible! I’ve been through all the other therapies suggested over the last two years (speech, OT, feed) before ABA was suggested and the next step. Learning everything as we go about what my daughter needs next has been a rough couple of years with not much guidance from other therapists but once starting with Appalachian Peds we have never felt so relieved! They are professional, friendly and communicate constantly to make sure my daughter is receiving the best therapy. They truly care about their patients and go above and beyond for the families, my daughter loves going there and with a full time schedule it means the world that I know she is very happy with every therapist who is working with her. I could go on and on but the last thing I will say is if you have been unsure about your child’s therapy needs and given the run around from other offices like we have they are sure to steer you in the right direction as they know the area, are knowledgeable and honest what they can offer or what might be a good fit!

It’s been several months since I called and made an appointment for my child and had his Doctor send over a referral. I received a call from someone stating that my child’s needs didn’t align with what their office does. The woman I spoke with spoke so fast it was hard to get a word in before she hung up. I called APT and left a message over a week ago requesting to be called back regarding why they chose to cancel our consultation. An explanation would be more professional than leaving people wondering. I don’t recommend this office as it seems very unprofessional and not respectful of people’s time nor their concern for their child.

I am a speech-language pathologist who has recommended multiple children to begin ABA therapy with Appalachian Therapy Services. They are very thorough and conduct both home and in-therapy observations to obtain a full picture of the child to help set each child on the best track for their personal success. Always professional staff and I have seen notable progress with each child I recommend begin therapy with them!

I was not sure that ABA therapy was the right direction for our family. Appalachian Pediatric Therapy was highly recommended by a family member in the field and I am so thankful that we followed the recommendation. Our experience with Sarah and Sarah has been wonderful on every level. The lines of communication are completely open and encouraged. I never need to ask for updates, they are always given as a natural part of the process. I feel included as part of his team. They put a lot of focus and effort on getting to know my son and his interests to help him in a way that is both fun and effective for him, he looks forward to his visits every week. Our Sarahs very much feel like an extension of our family and have been both flexible and supportive with us while we have navigated several hard things in our lives recently. I feel like our whole family has benefitted and I definitely feel like they have been a great resource for me as his mom.

Wendi and Sarah are amazing behavior therapists and their team is top notch! As a mom of a child with autism and a teacher who has the privilege of working with them in a school setting, these ladies are nothing short of amazing. I recommend them to anyone and everyone. The growth we see with our school children as well as my own child are unbelievable. They truly love kids and want them to succeed in all setting. They are your team and just as invested in your child as you. They have been a huge blessing to my family and I will forever be grateful for them. If you are looking for ABA this is the only place I would ever recommend. Truly the best.
