Ascension's behavioral health policies include patient dumping, if the Doctor or Nurse Practitioner is not there that day and you need a refill, I was told it's policy that only that person can fill the script, there is no back up in place, you are dumbed back to wait for your prescriber to return because apparently no one else is qualified to make that simple decision, my persciber does not work on Monday's, leaves early on Friday's and of course is not there on the weekend, sometimes you will get the 48hr rule that they don't have to process anything in that time frame, but this is outdated as compared to real world times, Mental health has been brought to the forefront but the system supporting it is still operating as it did 50 years ago, back to my point, due to strict rules on refills for many drugs, scripts can be sent in like a day before you are out, if you run into a problem like scrips out of stock or you run out at these points, you have to wait for provider to do it, there is no backup, no team work, it's not my problem additide, Ascension really need a reorganizing to get into the present, I am always so disappointed when I should be confident of being taken care of.
