Ok soooo it's been almost a year since someone stole my medication from here... they sent me to security and I left my info but never heard back. Everything is recorded!! As if that wasn't bad enough the situation caused me to go into a panic attack because I had to go through circles with my over priced insurance... but instead of helping me out they asked me if I wanted to leave so I did then asked me to not come back rudely without answering any questions! I felt so defeated because this was my last hope for help at the time. I still haven't heard anything and the more I think about it makes me wonder how many other ppl had horrible experiences and were treated some way. The kicker is they're trying to bill me for help I never received!!

Mental health is always accepting the process and hoping for the best and quickest result. This should go without having to say the whole care team should always be trustworthy with every step on the care team staff.. this problem I'm hinting at is that while doctors were GOOD, they weren't showing up as promised (daily but only every other day). The nurses were mostly sweet but I forgive probably run down, the staff was not present for help/services at all times like really needed, if there is swapping or breaks they should make sure there's SOMEONE at the desk. My stay was about 4 and a half days and the discharge went smoothly with my progress, only complaining and giving 5* because I do appreciate every therapist, psychiatrist, nutritionist, and the vast majority of the stay but some things were hard to watch because of sometimes a lack of compassion. Be ready to feel like a vacation but a daycare where the teachers aren't always available when the kids need them. I hope the rating boot motivates them to make the experience as good as I can imagine it c.ould be 100%

I cannot say enough GREAT things about this place! The Dewey Center saved my life. The people who work here are amazing and they genuinely care! Every time I call I am in waiting for up to 45 minutes, and when I finally get someone on the line, I am put on hold for long amounts of time as well. Needs more workers. In addition, my former therapist,, Diana Bolmes, was very unprofessional with me. I had been a patient of hers for about a year when she discharged me for missing too many appointments. About six months later I called the main office who assured me I could get in with her again. I left her a voicemail and never heard back. Two weeks later I call the office and they set up an appointment with her, only to have the appointment be cancelled the day before, with the receptionist saying Diana did not want to see me. She couldn’t even be bothered to tell me herself that she didn’t want me as a patient by calling me back, she had to have someone else do it. The reason I I missed our last appointment was because the previous session she was quite rude to me as I was crying near the end of the session. Instead of saying something comforting she stood up and ushered me out the door. Clearly money is her main objective, so beware about making an appointment with this woman if ’you want real help.

Dewey is the place to go if you need help for alcoholism or chemical dependency of any kind. They have wonderful doctors and behavioral health technicians. They have the leading doctor in Opiate research in Dr. Lance Longo. The facilities are brand new and it will be opening up by the end of the year I believe. This place saved my life. I would recommend it to anyone that needs help.
