I have been trying to reach Autism Alliance of Michigan for 2 months. I have left voicemails the times I'm actually able to get through with the phone number listed, but majority of the time I call, the number is completely unreachable. I've tried calling the building it says its located in, nobody has any idea what I'm talking about and I just get transferred around without ever reaching anybody from AAoM. This is beyond frustrating

Trying to deal with AAoMI is very frustrating. They never actually answer their phones, during business hours they force you to leave a voicemail which takes days to receive a response. The original navigator we had left to work for another organization and we were never provided information for a new navigator. We called again some time later and got a return call from a navigator who never provided contact information. Meanwhile our son desperately in need of support languishes in a school district incapable of providing him with an adequate education. Thanks for nothing…

Truly don't believe that they continue to ask us for donations. That's the only contact we ever have from AAofM after spending many hours filling out forms and answering questions. And we drove over an hour to get there hoping for the help they claim to provide. The resume that was finally sent to my son (after having to call back numerous times) was full of misspellings and grammar errors). He is still unemployed years later. Adults don't waste your time. You will only be disappointed again. It's all about the kids. All AAofM claims are a bunch of hot air. Stop asking for $ and take us off your mailing list.

They have helped me tremendously I spent my whole life being misdiagnosed & they made it easy for me to get the support I need. Now they’re helping my son. Thank you so much I appreciate you guys for all that you do.

Not happy how they treat the parent/guardian. Meet with them for my sons intake back in Jan 2019 spent two hours in the office answering questions. Not much follow up from that meeting. Then other departments started emailing us asking the Same questions. The Departments don't talk to each other?? Then in Feb 2019 one department asked what my son was looking for Full Time or Part Time, we answered, no follow up after that. March 2019 more questions being asking through email, no follow up after that. Now, 10 months later after no contact since March they want to talk to my son about jobs hunting. Really, do you think we have 10 months to wait for them to Do Their Job!! This is where his Medicaid money is going to. My son has been on two job training programs since May 2019. Good Thing we did't wait for Autism Alliance of Michigan.
