Parents - PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND DONT EVEN BOTHER STAYING ON THE WAITING LIST. Your children deserve better care. The 2.6 stars is honestly generous — it should be lower. I’m disgusted by how little help and compassion this place offers to families who are desperate for support. The waitlist is months long, and if you seek an evaluation somewhere else in the meantime, they completely drop you and refuse to see your child and call it “clinic policy” and basically repeat themselves over and over when you ask for an explanation. Specifically from Raequael Carson their “clinic manager”. It’s like talking to a robot instead of a person. They set families up for failure instead of helping them. For a center that’s supposed to care for children with autism, the lack of communication, flexibility, and basic understanding is shocking.
9-10 wait time is INSANE! Just to be tested
Very expensive if you don’t have Medicaid! I did 500 copays for speech and occupational then 250 every visit after that, now to get her tested for autism it’s 500 for a virtual visit! And it’s only questions they are asking me about my child they not even looking at her im pretty sure it’ll be 250 after the evaluation this place is a money hungry place! Only care about getting paid and they don’t do any payment arrangements for ppl who don’t receive Medicaid they are not here to help our children after a year and a half wait these are the results I’m stuck with a money hungry hospital with horrible reviews
Great facility! The wait time is a little long, we were first referred back in September 2022 for an autism diagnosis for my daughter and got on the wait list immediately but, our appointment wasn’t scheduled until January 2025. I was told before hand that the wait time was 6-12 months but it ended up being double that which kinda sucked but honestly the wait didn’t really bother me because i knew my daughter would be getting the best care possible and they definitely provided! Would recommend!
Center for Autism, seem to be all about a dollar. I asked if I could split a payment, and was told the way their system is designed only 1 form of payment can be used. I can split a payment at the dentist and doctors office and have. Very disheartening the receptionist 5/8/24 @ 10:30 am.
If I could give a 0 I would! It’s so sad how downhill this place is going following Dr Goodspeed’s departure! I tried to cancel appointments with new specialist because I didn’t have insurance because I was laid off and my son was sick however they refused because of the rescheduling multiple times. I’m sorry if I know that my child is sick and my insurance is now inactive why am I going to go through the embarrassment of going to the office to be turned away!! Makes no sense!! And now the new specialist is refusing to see my son who has been here for 3 years!!!! Dr Goodspeed would at least hear us out and empathize to hear our situation and no one is! Instead I’m told go to MetroDallas!
How on earth it takes a year or more from the time of referral being recieved to schedule an appointment is crazy. Being in East Texas and having next to no options for aba assistance I'm just stuck wondering if they prioritize kids in their own geographical area over others regardless of date of referral. By the other reviews I've read parents get appointments scheduled within weeks of referral so why is it everytime I've called over the past few months I still get told it will be a year or more.
