Autism of WNY

I embarked on a journey of understanding I may be autistic approximately a year and some months ago. One of my first reference points was reaching out to this organization. I spoke with Kathy, specifically, and I cannot express more authentically how much space she allotted (I genuinely was in a difficult position/point in my life) and an extension of information, and resources... I was able to connect to Autism Services, Inc., as well, via Kathy and this organization, which has been just as impacting towards my life. Through these reference points, I finally was able to connect, also, with a therapist whom truly encouraged growth and identity regarding myself, and my life, in such unveiling ways... I reached back out today to thank her, after a year or so of said journey (for propelling that journey and being one of the first individuals to listen to me without judgement, and provide help, along the way), and she was just as kind and offering of support... Appreciate so much, I do. 🫂

I contacted this organization to try and find some referrals or information to help my daughter. After listening to the person that called me give me a bunch of info that I didn’t need (even as I repeatedly reminded her what I needed). She confirmed my email address and said she would send an email within 20 minutes or so. That was yesterday afternoon. As of today I have received nothing. My daughter is an adult. And it’s proving extremely difficult to find any support for us or her. It’s very sad.
