We love all the programs and events through Autism Society for our son. He has profound autism and is non-speaking. We have made lifelong friendships at Family Camp. Our son was able to attend surf camp and a summer camp. We also love the monthly family pool party. We moved to San Diego not knowing anyone 5 years ago, now we have a community that shows us love, kindness, and acceptance.
They support ABA. As an autistic individual, we do not need ‘dog training’. Thanks, but no thanks. I almost joined until I found this out.
Yes this place is good
Our family loves this organization. They are very supportive of Autistic individuals and their families. They have many programs, events, camps, fundraisers, and support groups for those on The Spectrum. They are very welcoming and friendly. They are empathetic, and many of the staff either have an Autistic family member and/or are Autistic themselves. Our favorite event is the biannual Family camp.
