I've always felt my daughter struggled with nervous system regulation. I am certain she has ADD/ADHD but didnt want to go the traditional route of a lengthy diagnosis and medication. Girls are hard to diagnosis and she masks extremely well. We first tried behavior health therapy and I didnt feel like it was the right fit for her. I met Kathrin at a local workshop focused on balancing your nervous system. I was impressed with her calm demeanor and her approach to treating children and adults that struggle with nervous system regulation. I signed my daughter up for the safe and sound protocol (SSP). She loves music and one on one adult time so I was willing to give it a shot! My daughter instantly felt safe and loved going to Ms. Kathrin. My daughter no longer struggles with separation anxiety, she has started to try new foods, she gets along better with her younger sister, and we have ALOT less meltdowns. She is able to express how she is feeling and has learned multiple ways to calm herself down. Throughout the SSP process, Kathrin mentored me, as the parent, separate from my child. We talked through weekly struggles and how to navigate them. My daughter has since completed the SSP and I have started. I am more aware of my stress level and how to regulate myself. I have been sleeping better and I am handling stressful situations differently. My family is blessed to have met Kathrin. I cannot recommend BalanSense-Therapy enough to anyone looking for a gentle, effective, and supportive therapeutic approach.
I was recommended to the SSP after experiencing issues with the vagus nerve. I chose to do the program in person with Kathrin Winter and I am pleased with the results. Kathrin is very supportive, compassionate and knowledgeable regarding the process. I have noticed significant improvement and will continue with the program.
