I’ve been seeing Andrea Semones for several years now and she is absolutely fantastic at performing her job. I have had both telehealth and in person appointments with her and she always takes the time to listen and she truly cares about my personal wellbeing. Her staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well. I have had no issues trying to get in contact with her or her staff, nor have I had any issues trying to obtain prescription refills, as mentioned by other reviewers. I highly recommend this practitioner.

I’ve been with Andrea for probably about 5 years now. Communication and getting ahold of her is next to impossible. It’s much harder than it should be to get ahold of my prescriptions. I’ve had to go to the pharmacy about it many times because she hasn’t filled them. Mental health is nothing to play around with. Don’t bother.

I've been a patient for over a year. The ONE complication that I seem to experience every single time, is when it comes to prescriptions. Sometimes they don't go out for days after my appointment, or one med gets ordered and others don't, or vice versa. When I call for refills(that's when I even get somebody on the phone) the meds don't get called in for days, after multiple calls and reminders. And anyone who takes daily meds, knows that if I call for a refill on Thurs and the doctor puts it off till Weds(true story), it can completely disrupt your life. It shouldn't cause me this much anxiety stressing over the meds they prescribe me for my anxiety! Update: And if your a patient, and your nervous about speaking up about this issue, for fear of retribution, You are absolutely RIGHT. I've been discharged and my refills were canceled as punishment for this well-intentioned honest review. I had only hoped this would bring attention to this issue, so it could be corrected. And if it makes this process smoother for even one patient seeking treatment, than it was worth it. Because, let's face it, seeking mental or behavioral health treatment is hard enough, without the people we turn to for answers, the ones we instill all of our trust and respect in, taking it for granted. Or in my case, turning against me completely. I just hope Baptist Health looks into this further to improve the patient experience for the other patients. And I hope they agree that a patient shouldnt have to fear suffering retribution, from their own doctor for pointing out a flaw in the system. Update: She just added this letter to my patient portal for all my providers to see the rest of my life, "... Relationship irreparably damaged due to history of multiple harassing phone calls to the office and inaccurate reviews and complaints related to prescriptions. " Firstly, I believe this is the first formal complaint I've ever lodged against anyone anywhere ever in my entire life. Secondly, if you consider patients phone calls requesting refills as 'harassment, ' then maybe your in the wrong profession. Or you're doing something wrong, if refill calls have to escalate to the point of harassment just to get the medications that you yourself told them they required.

The last couple of years, I have been seen by this practitioner. I have struggled with communication and refills several times. I am currently without my medication due to lack of communication, and I have decided not to revisit. I’ve made an appointment with someone else in a different practice. The practice switched to Baptist a while back. During that transition, I had to go weeks without any medication or communication whatsoever. I called so many times and left so many messages, I finally just gave up. Later, when things at the practice got back on track, I found it difficult to get my refills on time. The last time I asked why I could not get a refill for my medication, I was told by someone at the practice I had to come to Frankfort that very day (I live 2 hours away) to sign paperwork before the practice was out for Christmas break. While I have no issues with compliance for medication, I did not know I had to sign the papers, let alone in such an abrupt time frame, and I have been without medication ever since. I was unable to go that very day due to work. Had I known, I would’ve made arrangements. I asked if it was safe for me to go without my medication that long, and the person I spoke with on the phone said “I mean, it’s not like it’s life threatening. You’ll be ok.” I had my first and only seizure a few months ago and after seeing a neurologist, I was told my medication dosage was extremely high and was most likely the cause of the seizure. This practitioner lowered the dosage, but made the suggestion to raise it again later. I declined due to the fact I was afraid of having another seizure. I feel as if I’m not important and not remembered. As a person, I am sure this practitioner is a wonderful human. But I have had serious struggles. I have been without my medication for weeks and the physical effects have not been pleasant.

Mrs. Semones has been absolutely wonderful treating me for some of my mental health issues. She makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Her staff is also very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend.
