Bark and Breakfast

After the boarding place I normally use shut down, I was scrambling to find a place quickly for my dog before my next trip. I found bark and breakfast! My dog was quickly evaluated to see if he would get along with the other pets in the house, we did a quick overnight stay as well, and then he was good to go. The owner of bark and breakfast is very prompt and courteous and has a special place in her heart for pets. She is open to all the needs of the pets, has many services that she can provide, and the price is competitive. I love the pictures that she sent that showed how much fun my dog was having, especially because this was our first time trying her out. I would definitely go back again. UPDATE: Alexa increased her prices right after I posted this. For short stays this was fine, but I recently had a longer stay (11 nights, 1 day) that was over new years day. I was hoping to have a reduced rate (normally an extended stay of at least 5 days results in this reduced rate). However, because she had my dog over one holiday day (new year's day), she increased the cost of all 11 days for the holiday rate with no discount. I tried to ask her if we could work out a partial extended day rate and she would not budge (nor did she warn me of this ahead of time). She also had the flu and admitted she barely got out of bed for many days and said the rate was only $2.50 an hour. To me, she didn't have to do much and does not have good customer service when things go wrong... when things go right, it's easy to be nice! I have heard from friends that they also have had issues with her when things don't go perfectly.

Such a nice environment for my pup while I'm on vacation. Alexis goes above and beyond to make sure he's taken well care of and I will definitely be bringing my pup back next time I leave for vacation.

Alexis is a very attentive and communicative dog-lover to trust my sweet boy with. She was sure to send photos/videos and a text each day I was away from my fur baby. That really helped me relax. Knowing he was doing well, allowed me to make the most of my time with my family. When I picked him up, after being parted, he was happy and healthy. He made so many new friends that I’ll have to bring him back. He really had a great time and Alexis has a real gift when it comes to caring for all these sweet furry babies.

Bark and Breakfast is simply wonderful. It's an enriching and comfortable place for my two dogs who love to run outside. Both of my dogs can be shy and nervous around new people/pets/places, but Alexis knows how to introduce the dogs to each other and encourage them to get along. My dogs come home happy and tired and I go to work knowing they are in good hands. She frequently sends pictures and videos of the dogs playing and enjoying the outside. They are definitely "living their best lives" while they are there. Thank you, to Alexis and her team, for providing this wonderful care.

Bark and Breakfast is the best place we have ever taken our dog to for overnight care! Alexis treats every dog like her own and is extremely patient and kind. She sent pictures, videos and updates everyday. It was so nice to enjoy our vacation and not have to worry about our pup!

Alexis is simply the best and I am so relieved to have found her. My mini dachshund, Hans, becomes anxious whenever I leave to go on a trip, but since he has been going to bark and breakfast he is very calm and relaxed when he comes home. Hans has made many new friends, especially Margot! Alexis treats every dog as if they were her own. She also keeps me updated and sends lots of pictures and videos, which is so appreciated. I can enjoy my time away because I know Hans is safe and well cared for. Alexis is flexible and very easy to work with. I highly recommend!
