ZERO STARS!! HORRID. Patient abuse is ignored by management. Extremely punitive. No support from management. No training or help for staff. No raises. No OT. DON micromanages from her office. Management plays favorites. Different rules for different people. Violation of patient rights. Animals are the zoo are treated better. Filthy.
Horrible place. They feed you pills & food, that’s it. There is no proper treatment. This place is a money grab. There is no detox treatment, there no proper counseling. TV’s are there but don’t even work. It’s more traumatizing than helpful.
If could give this place zeros stars I would. I checked myself voluntarily into addiction rehab and was committed here even though I showed no signs of suicidal or homicidal ideation. There were very nice but obviously very mentally ill patients here and they are treated like prisoners. No privileges are really allowed, you can’t even keep a tv remote with you. What I witnessed here was nothing short of abuse. Luckily they realized that I’m clearly not supposed to be here and let me out after 72 hours, but the experience was traumatic nonetheless. There is a social worker here who is very good and advocates for me, and a few nice staff members, but some staff were cruel. Auditors came through on Monday and I told them my story and they could not have cared less and treated me like I was insane. Moral of the story, never check yourself in here voluntarily. If you end up here against your will as I was, I wish you luck. Because they can hold you for up to 6 months.
My actual name is eric,my stay was ok I really didn't want to come out my room,or go to group becausei was scared.and this nurse from the 2nd floor.i think his name was gary?he came to my room and actual talk to me and helped get me more comfortable with the unit. He sat almost an hour for two days straight talking with me one on one.thanks Gary Eric
I wish you could assign negative “stars” in the review. I am a Medical POA for a patient there. They refuse to talk with me and the patient’s PCP, as well as her daughter because apparently continuity of care or being in touch with the family is too much bother while they collect the insurance checks. They took the "patient" off their meds cold turkey and are holding the patient against their will even though they checked in voluntarily. We are exploring legal options now. The patient comments on the quality of care, the lack of activities, the minimal medical attention, the food, etc. echoes what is in the many other comments here. Whatever you do - don’t let your loved ones be taken there!
They have a patient there who is related to me and they won’t reach out to me or to that patients POA even though we have called and asked. She signed in willingly and is now being held against her will. The doctors won’t even come and meet patients This is the worst hospital I can imagine and unfortunately I’ve dealt with many They need to do better and I am other members of the patients care team are looking into legal options within the state of Michigan They are abusive con artists and I would never recommend them to anyone Drive further if you can to get medical care
Wish I could do zero. This was my fourth time at a hospital and hands down it takes the cake as the worst one. I know there aren’t many options for good places to go but this place is not worth it. There were supposed to be scheduled groups that were either always canceled or I kid you not lasted less than 10 minutes. When I got there they got me off all of my meds COLD TURKEY. If you know anything about medication that is su can a big no no. I am honestly so shocked. Now that I am out I am having to readjust to everything. This place sucks.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hospital. Everyone was helpful & nice. I really enjoyed reading books & eating snacks while letting my meds take effect. The doctor made me stay for 11 days. Yes, it was a long drawn out process, but I really did meet some awesome people & have a lot of fun!
