Behavioral Health Center at EIRMC

This was the cleanest hotel I had ever been to! If there was ever a mess, it wouldn't be long before it was sparkling clean again. The hotel provided not only breakfast, but lunch and dinner as well. The meals were exquisite and the staff catered to dietary needs. The hotel staff had lots of group activities, many of which were fun. However, if the staff were short staffed or didn't have time, the exercise group got cancelled. After about a week, the groups got repetitive. When I expressed my concern and wanted better individual care, I was told they don't provide the individual care I was requesting. When I wanted to check out, the staff informed me that you have to meet a standard before being allowed to leave the hotel. If you need a place to keep you safe and cater to most of your needs, this is an excellent place to be! However, if you're hoping to experience the scenery and fresh air that Idaho has to offer, choose a different hotel!

When my friend had to be committed after she went into Postpartum Psychosis, after the birth of her 6 month old, well let me tell you what happened . When she got transferred from the Hospital , she was told she needed to be evaluated they placed her in Mandatory hold , her husband didnt know where she was at for 3 days . The idaho falls hospital wouldnt tell him where she was after she got transferred here . When she arrived at night she was on mandatory hold. She said when she went to sleep at night the first night they didnt even give her a blanket she just slept on the cold little bed . No one told her where she was or why she needed to be there . She was breast feeding at the time they knew that . Her Breasts were enlarged and in pain . She asked for a breast pump two days later . She finally asked to use the phone 3 days later to call her husband, she let him know where she was. She was in there a week . The doctors also shared all her diagnosis with her room mate . That is all supposed to be Confidential . Anyone who goes here. I hope they never go through what she experienced .

The woman they hired to work security at nights is very rude and threatening.

I want to thank the staff at BHC for helping me recently. People that come to BHC are going through one of the worst days/ weeks of their lives, and the staff have a lot of power in making those days better or worse. I felt like the wide majority of professionals there were kind, comforting, and quick to help without judgment. Brandon, Samantha, and Dr. Williams are especially great people. The recreation therapists were amazing as well. Thanks for helping me through one of the lowest moments of my life.

Not a place for learning new skills, just a place to stay safe if you have suicidal thoughts. Not recommended.

They stripped me down and searched me everywhere, Took Photos of my scares and bruises and Cuts (I felt Exploited and Exposed) I wasnt aloud to Leave. They interrogate you during meetings, Belittle you on why your sad! Then shame you about how it could be worse! And just get over it! Or pretend your happy! They Watched me Dress, Shower, Use the Bathroom, It made me So Uncomfortable and Disgusted. They come in your room every 5 to 10 minutes and flash a Flashlight in your face at night, Question you several times if your still awake "Why are you awake? Are you planning to hurt Yourself? Do you wanna Die?" If you say "you wanna die" they throw you in the padded room for Hours and Hours. They Give you med's Constantly to Force you sleep! They Rip all your Paper clothes off and check your Cuts in front of everyone! They constantly do Blood Draws everyday. They Give you barley any visitation to see your family and they monitor what you say to your family. They didn't give me underwear so I kept bleeding through the Paper Clothes because I was on my period, And When paper gets we it Falls apart. And when they finally gave me underwear, They refused to give me pads, They said "We have to supervise you Everytime you change it! Then "Check You There" because of safety reasons" and then the other staff Lady said "The pads are for Staff only! If you get out you can buy your own pads" I was so Creeped out, Stressed, And drained. They wouldn't let me wear a Bra, It was uncomfortable because theirs Guys in their, The whole time they kept glacing or looking at my chest. The paper pants kept tearing all the time, Which exposed my private parts. I felt so much worse when I was in their, They didn't help me, They made me feel Worse. Years later alot more of the awful stuff they did still haunts me. My Therapist tried to help me forget all of it. It never went away the fear of being trapped with no escape, Being Exploited and Exposed, Touched everywhere, Pictures being taken while I'm naked, Constantly being Watched, Questioned, Forced on meds, It was dangerous in their another person in their tried to attack people, She got thrown into the padded room again and again, She tried to strangle her roommate. I never wanna go back there ever again, I wouldn't ever send someone their, That place is Awful.
