The nurse that *should* answer the phone is awful. Don't try to call here after 1 or 2pm. She's not gonna answer. If you do get anything, it's voicemail. They say they're open till when? Doesn't matter, she's not gonna answer either way. If you have anything you need, best to call before noon. I thought I was stupid to believe this but this has been my experience for the last year. It's no use calling after 2pm. She will block your calls
I want to take the time to celebrate my therapist Leah Streitman; she is beyond an amazing human, I don’t know how I could ever live without her! She’s informative, knowledgeable, kind…along with being well spoken! Every session I have with her, I feel energized, I feel purpose, I could conquer any situation…this is only a short version of of how I feel; I can’t say enough beautiful words to describe her! She’s absolutely perfect in my world! I look forward to every visit with her…how many people can say that they look forward to appointments with a therapist BUT I do! Amazing gal in every category! Totally LOVE her!
Despite what some other reviewers have said, I’ve found the staff at BHSI to be incredibly professional, empathetic, and easy to work with. I’ve been seeing Jane, my prescriber, since 2018, and she’s consistently knowledgeable, supportive, and respectful, always making sure I have the information I need to make my own decisions. I recently started therapy here as well, and it’s been both insightful and well-structured. A few months ago I had a one month insurance gap, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my medications, including a controlled substance with strict refill limits, were scheduled so I wouldn’t miss a single day. They’ve supported me through multiple challenges over the years, and I’m genuinely grateful for the care I’ve received.
-Insurance Fraud -Medical Abuse -Falsification of medical records -Covering up medical abuse All in all, a pretty despicable place. Therapy is supposed to help you with trauma, not give you it.
I have gotten a lot of help from the staff of BHSI. Jane has been a great provider for almost the 8 years I have worked with her. Incredible woman! Also, the receptionist, Jenny, is amazing at her job. I see a lot of bad reviews talking about her and they honestly disgust me. She has been extremely helpful in my time of need. People need to be less judgmental. I did not get all my therapy needs properly met and am now in treatment, so my insurance won’t cover BHSI and my day treatment. I hope to return depending on how my insurance looks in the future, but it was a great 8 years!
Excellent and knowledgeable providers.
I have been going to this clinic for almost 15 years and have had a wonderful experience. They have helped me through some challenging times and I would highly recommend! Jane and Bill have been great to work with and it's clear the staff really care about their clients! Thank You
I think BHSI sufficed for what I needed at the time. I lived near it and received adequate services, but I know there was probably better elsewhere. I always found the front desk extremely rude and short. I'd brush it off as just a bad day, but I went to this clinic for a year and their attitude and behavior was consistent. I also faced so many issues with getting my prescription, which I never understand because it's one medication at a single consistent dosage. And yet it's been a problem several times! Often I only had less than a week left of my medication, or even a few days, when I learned from my pharmacy that they couldn't my reach my doctor to fill my prescription. Then of course I'd call and it'd be a whole process of them telling me nothing could be done right away and that they'd get back to me. This caused a lot of anxiety because when you need your medication, you NEED it. All in all a very frustrating experience with this clinic, and because they were too convenient of a location I never changed clinics until recently. Should've done it sooner.
This place is horrible I had a doctor who retired. So I decided to go with his recommendation and stayed at this clinic because this is where I have gone for years. Instead of changing to one closer to my house (I live in st. Michael so like a 45 min drive). Well I go to my appointment get you I’m in and out in usually 5 mins and then I receive my bill that is $160 more than what I’m usually charged. They state because I switched doctors(had to since he retired) that they charged me an new patient intake(but I’m not a new patient). Well I get a message from billing saying that really they should charge me more and I actually got a deal. Pretty unprofessional! If they just would have told me that this was going to happen at least I could have switched to a closer location like golden valley but no they never stated that I would be charged for this! I bet more patients than me have complained about this. Who would even think to ask this since I’m not a new patient. This place sucks and this is the reason why we have so many people with mental problems. They say they want to help get you better but they just want your money.
