My mom had a heart attack so I wasn’t able to make my appointment, I call back and she says she refuses any appointments from me now. I understand cancellations being inconvenient but I feel like that should be an exception. I found a way better place to get an assessment that isn’t a year out anyway.

Here are just some of the things I experienced at bhsi: - They would repeatedly bill my insurance for services that they did not provide (which I am pretty sure is attempted insurance fraud). - Bhsi declined to comment/clarify when asked. - I was yelled at multiple times by Monicah Gikiri as well as her lying to me about the eligibility of legal forms and subsequently omitting what happened on her report all leading me to having a breakdown that I was then discharged for by Jen Pohl without her trying to help calm me down or figure out what happened. - The director of the Brooklyn Center clinic (Jen Pohl) told me that she would not listen to my testimony/grievances and that there would be consequences if she did not believe me. - And when I immediately reported what she said, the CEO Paul Hill both omitted it from his report and told her/did not stop her from continuing to call me. - Medical Director Drevis Hager also lied about my testimony omitting vital pieces of information including her maltreatment of me. - Bhsi refused to clarify and denied multiple opportunities to then remedy the issue. - Clinic Director Jen Pohl also denied me of the right to amend my record. - Medical Director Drevis Hager also denied me of the right to amend my record. - I went here for two years and asked several times for my diagnoses and was never told once. When I got my records to investigate Gikiri, there were numerous things listed. All of which I was never told about. - Multiple Breaches in the Minnesota Patient Bill of Rights including but not necessarily limited to: - Article 2 Courteous treatment - Article 6 Information about Treatment - Article 7 Participation in Planning Treatment - Article 11 Freedom from Maltreatment - Article 15 Responsive Service - Article 17 Grievances - Article 21 Protection and Advocacy Services - Sent me a cease and desist over my attempts to remedy the countless inaccuracies and grievances. Although I suppose if you want to be systematically lied to, mistreated, and misrepresented then thanks to the work of Pohl and Monicah this is absolutely the place for you! “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. And I believe that in this generation those with the courage to enter the moral conflict will find themselves with companions in every corner of the globe.” - RFK

Great place to go to I've been seeing my provider for years he is excellent he will give me extra time if I need it. Is understanding if I don't get a reminder and am late to my appointment. Understands that technology sucks sometimes. Also, he understands that not everyone wants to take medication. Over all my provider is wonderful.

I've been going to the people at this clinic for over 13 years. I'm getting excellent treatment. One long-time front desk person is wonderful. There have been a few awkward moments with others, but currently, February 2023, they were excellent. I would never give up my providers here. They are the best! It doesn't matter to our treatment what the front desk does. It's a hard job. I've done it myself at a medical clinic. One question: If the front desk people aren't "picking up the phone" as people claim, how do posters know they are rude? Concentrate on managing your mental health and tolerating imperfections is my advice.

Front desk workers are great! Doctors are willing to listen to patient. They have the knowledge of medications and will inform you if there are side effects. My family has been to BHSI for the past 15 years.
