This is a terrible place. I changed my son to this school because they other one BI was to far and ever since he started attending this BI, he started to hit people, which he never did that before and whenever I take him there he start to cry and he doesn’t want to go inside. It’s been three days since I took him out of this BI and he hasn’t hit anyone or any one of his teachers since then. He also stopped getting agitated.
love this place. The staff are amazing and they have so much patience when it comes to my Grandson I have seen a big change in him since he has been attending.
This place is amazing. They worked so hard on getting my daughter in here. The paperwork is a lot, but it’s worth it. Beth is awesome. Caroline at the front desk is awesome.
The staff are AMAZING!
The people is what makes this place great! Beth is a god send. She has made a huge impact in my and my children’s lives. I’m sure she’s done the same for countless others.
I have decided to leave this review now, because I have been asked every single month over email and I should have done this way sooner anyhow. I hope this place improved since our horrible experience last year. After my son attended this center for only 2 days last year, I experienced utter disgust and devastation at his pick up. I couldn’t quite believe what happened. It created serious distrust in ABA centers and ABA therapy as a whole for us that we unenrolled that same day and didn’t re-enroll my son elsewhere until almost a year later (march 2025). These people have “therapists” with very little training, education, common sense or courtesy. Just ask them. What exact education do the RBTS’s have? This is the email I wrote to the lead BCBA regarding this incident: “5/31/2024 I picked up my son and it appears a man by the name of Lee brought him out. I looked at his papers and it said “Lee” had my son from 1-4:30.” “I decided not to confront this while there because I didn’t want to seem confrontational or make anyone look bad especially infront of the families. However I’ve been pretty upset and I’m an easy going person but I’m not going to let this go because it’s very concerning and disappointing. I am highly confused at what kind of education Lee holds?” “I was under the impression that B.I. employs educated, trained persons on how to take care of not only disabled kids but has basic common sense when it comes to taking care of children in general. My son was brought to me not only with a lot of poop in his diaper that I noticed the smell immediately, but he had poop stains on his pants, no shoes, no belongings.” “1. This isn’t daycare where kids can go home at different times daily, Lee knew what time I was coming to pickup my son so what is the excuse for him bringing him to me without a fresh diaper?” “2. How did he not see my son had poop stains on his pants?” “3. How did he not notice he had no shoes on?” “4. Lee also sent NONE of my dish containers home in my son’s lunchbox. I discovered while pulling up to my house and looking in the lunch box that he didn’t return any of the lunch containers I sent. Did he even attempt to feed my son during their session? He didn’t even bother to keep track of his belongings or send home any uneaten non perishable foods. He also disassembled my son’s lunch box, which was weird because why would you do that…. He unzipped the siding attachment which makes no sense for an adult to do.” “5. Food is expensive and that also shows lack of care and compassion for me as a parent and human being to not send home the rest of the uneaten imperishable food as was done the day before.” “6. I change my son’s diaper and see it is old, cakey poop and notice his anus is red and inflamed, he cries as I’m cleaning him up. Which tells me he was in this diaper for what had to be hours.” “Copa and Cathy said they would take care of it and as much as I truly appreciate that, I want this individual Lee held accountable to the furthest extent. I will also be filing a complaint as well and leaving a review. I don’t understand how this happened and why Lee was not under some kind of supervision being that his competence level for caring for children is obviously not there? Why does he work there? Which confuses me because he is supposed to be trained and educated? This is not a simple mistake. It’s neglect.” “I brought my son there in the hopes that he would not only receive professional therapy but never in a million years thought he would be neglected in the way he was, there is no way my son was receiving treatment and therapy during that session when this man wasn’t even paying attention to him - leaving him in soiled clothes and diaper for hours then bringing him to his mother like that. Photo of poopy pants is attached.” My son now attends Action Behavior Center and the difference in care and professionalism is mind blowing. It has only been a few weeks and I wish I would have brought him here sooner. Behavioral innovations centennial should be ashamed of themselves.
A Life-Changing Transformation Thanks to the Incredible Team at Behavioral Innovations! Words cannot express the profound gratitude we feel for the entire staff at Behavioral Innovations, especially Beth and her exceptional team – Christian, Ben, Taylor, Nick and Seth. In the short time our son (6yo), has been attending BI (less than a year!), we have witnessed nothing short of a miracle. He has made a complete 180 and is truly an entirely different child. Before BI, our son struggled significantly with his autism and O.D.D. He had immense difficulty regulating his emotions, often leading to challenging behaviors. Communicating his needs was a constant source of frustration for both him and us. We felt lost and unsure of how to best support him. From our very first interaction with Beth and her team, we felt an immediate sense of hope and understanding. Their expertise, patience, and genuine care have been truly remarkable. They took the time to truly understand his unique challenges and developed a tailored approach that has yielded incredible results. The progress our son has made is astounding. He has learned invaluable skills in emotional regulation, and we are witnessing a significant decrease in outbursts. He is now able to communicate his needs verbally with increasing clarity and confidence, which has reduced his frustration levels dramatically. Beyond these key areas, we've seen positive changes in so many other aspects of his development. Beth and her team have created a supportive, engaging, and nurturing environment where our son feels safe to learn and grow. Their dedication and passion for their work are evident in every interaction. They are not just therapists; they are partners in our journey, offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support. We are eternally grateful for the positive impact Behavioral Innovations has had on our son's life and our entire family. It's difficult to put into words the relief and joy we feel seeing our son thrive. If you are looking for a team of compassionate, skilled, and truly effective professionals to support your child with autism and/or O.D.D., look no further than Behavioral Innovations. Thank you, Beth and your amazing team, from the bottom of our hearts!
BI has been the best choice I’ve ever made for my son. I can tell that they truly care about him and his growth and he’s not just another body at their facility. I would highly recommend this company, specifically the commerce city location.
Love this place , great with my son , love the staff. However, I keep having a on going issue with no one being at the front desk to answer the door or phone when I have to pick my son up. I’ve waited up to 20 minutes before and that was only because a tech was leaving to go home - and from there I almost took their walkie from the desk to announce I was there to pick up my son as I was stuck waiting another 20 min in the waiting room. I have made this complaint a few times. Overall I still love this place and my son has made tremendous progress since being with BI.
This place is amazing! It has helped my son already in the short time he’s been there tremendously. The staff and therapists really do care a lot about the children that go here and are very respectful. Definitely recommend for children who need ABA therapy to go here. This was my original post from a year ago but I’m here to edit it. The center went under a dramatically huge change that affected my son. The whole regular staff that knew my son and worked with him day one kept quitting suddenly! They were scared to tell us why or what happened like they were scared of the new management. There’s no communication between staff like for example I brought my son a brand new pack of pull ups and wipes and they kept saying he didn’t have any for three days but I told them I brought some in I want them found and just for my son to come home in a girls pull ups because they didn’t keep track of what was his. Another example was my son coming home with a used water bottle from the center that I was freaked out about because I thought they gave my son another students drink. I questioned it and then they said that his water bottle was broken, if it was broken please tell me right away so I can replace it! I felt like my son’s needs weren’t being heard and meant here at this facility. It broke my heart because he was really striving then the major change in staff and staffing issues just felt like it was Day 1 again staring with my son like he was regressing. I hope this center gets better for future kids but this wasn’t a match for us anymore.
