Main front lady that answers the phone is completely rude and unprofessional
BCT has been great at providing ABA services for my son for about 2 years now. We have had fantastic therapists work with him under the guidance of the BCBA Mr. Alex Hazen who has been diligent in understanding my son’s unique behaviours and coming up with strategies to help overcome them. We appreciate our association with BCT and that they are always listening. My son likes his therapists very much!
I am deeply disappointed with Behavior Care Therapy, an ABA company that supposedly specializes in working with children on the Autism spectrum. My experience with them has been far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to warn other parents against using their services. Firstly, my son was assigned two BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts), both of whom consistently failed to attend his crucial Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings. These meetings are essential for discussing and understanding my son's current behaviors, and their absence showed a lack of commitment to his progress. Moreover, the first BCBA's conduct raised serious concerns; she became entangled in a personal dispute with the Group Home owner. The second BCBA that worked on my son's case also made misleading statements about the services she was offering my son. In the very least it was misleading, but I would categorize this as flat out lying so they could bill insurance for services they said they were rendering. They mislabeled my son without properly assessing his current baseline behaviors and determined that he was too difficult to work with so they could pursue discharge from his case. In the very least this is highly unethical. This not only seemed highly unprofessional, but it also significantly interfered with her ability to work with my son consistently. Based on my experience, I strongly advise parents to consider other options, as Behavior Care Therapy's approach and professionalism have been severely lacking, potentially doing more harm than good to the children in their care.
My daughter has been getting in-home ABA therapy for many years. Behavior Care Therapy has provided has with great service and I would recommend this place without any doubt. Rachel has repeatedly gone over and beyond to keep our family needs and expectations taken care of and prioritized. Absolutely love this place.
We are having positive progress with my son's behaviors and independence. We have a lot to accomplish, but we are hopeful. The ABA strategies are working. The therapist is wonderful. He knows our son and is able to relate to him better than me...his mom. Smile.
