What a beautiful place! You can hear the joy and laughter of the adults (with intellectual disabilities) before you even step inside. There's so much that goes on in this tiny building, surrounded by well-used garden. Nothing happens here without a purpose to help the Teammates (the participants in the day program) grow in their daily living skills, job training, health and wellness, and community involvement. And if you are looking for a place to volunteer, there are so many ways to jump in and party! And did I mention the pottery studio? Absolutely beautiful handcrafted items made by the Teammates, and then they sell it in the store next door! I cannot say enough about this place!

The soap dish is amazing and beautifully made and painted. We get comments all the time from friends about the quality and they love hearing about the story behind it. Great product and wonderful people making them!
Beyond Basic has been a godsend. The leadership is amazing providing a much needed opportunity for adults with disabilities to continue to develop life skills and socialize in a safe and nurturing environment. After high school, there is a void for those with disabilities and Beyond Basic steps in with programming tailored to individual needs. This is a place where each teammate is valued, challenged and rewarded as they work toward achieving their greatest potential!
My daughter has been attending BB for 2 years now I think. She loves it. Great people and they help her a lot.
As the parents of a daughter who has been attending Beyond Basics for about a year, we are very impressed with the staffs' abilities and kind, caring nature. They continually come up with new activities and ventures that teach and entertain the team members. Our daughter enters the building with a smile on her face and returns home with it too. We can't say enough good that the experience as brought to our family.
My son has been a Beyond BASIC Teammate for four years and continues to love it! Thanks to the positive and consistent guidance he gets at BB he has continued to move forward in self-help, self-advocacy, and social skills, even during the pandemic.The Directors and Team Captains are always looking for new ways to engage the BB Teammates, in person, or on Zoom.This past year has been a test for everyone, but this organization has met every challenge thrown at them and kept moving forward with courage and grace.
