Black Hills Psychology

We have gone here multiple times and the “diagnoses” and treatment plans are ridiculous. We have had such a hard time having to pay out of pocket just to go see other facilities. The doctors we have now talked to don’t understand how incompetent they are at Black Hills Psych. If you get referred here or are seeking help, do your very best to go somewhere else. Very poor staff and very little help. It’s sad to think this is what our town has to offer.

Mrs Scott is amazing!! Both of my kids see her and have responded well to her easygoing, empathetic, and knowledgeable approach to each of their individual personalities and needs. The rest of the staff is fantastic as well! We will never go anywhere else.

Our family has received exceptional care from BH Psychology's providers for many years. We consistently commend their expertise and dedication, noting instances of exceptional support during crises. Drs. Lerew and Flint, in particular, are highly skilled and provide non-judgmental guidance. The entire staff's professionalism and patience are unparalleled in our experience with other regional psychologists. We have also had great experiences with all the therapists we have utilized throughout the years.

We have had the best service here. The front desk staff are patient and helpful. When my child was struggling to even get through a day his councilor was amazing. She worked with us to find the best solutions for his needs, as well as educate us to help him. They have worked with our work and school schedule.

The "psychological evaluation" was deemed incomplete by other outside psychologists and most of it was conducted by the receptionist. The charge for this was three times the charge of the second clinic we went to in Rapid City. The second appointment for medication management was a joke. Most of the time was spent making medical notes and then I was charged an extra $425 for time spent for him to attend to his personal needs. In the end he just suggested I continue on with the medication I was already taking but up the dosage to a significant level that resulted in significant side effects. There was no follow up with the medication increase. Go somewhere else. I now have a $2100 out of pocket bill and got no help here.
