It's been 12 months away from this place. We were warned by the owners he would regress. He didn't. He's progressed. He's healing. And we found therapy that works and that is the reason I write this today. We had nothing to compare their therapies to before but now we have OT and PT and food therapy with an SLP that has shown us what therapy SHOULD be for our kids. I have little to say about their ABA program as for most of it we had Jane as our BCBA. She's the one star that I can give this place and without her I would wish I could give it 0 stars. I experienced 3 other BCBA's and they were awful. Haley C canceled more meetings than she kept with us. Jenna L never responded to my requests to meet with her after she took over my child's case. And one bcba in the beginning never put the BIP in place that we had signed with Jane. I don't blame their program though for the trauma my child faced because that lays on their PT and OT (they are supposed to communicate with ABA). My child has hypotonia. This is common with children with autism and the therapists that should be experts at supporting these kids are not at this clinic. My son had the same goals, like balancing on one foot for 20 months. He still can't do it and he's nearly 6. This goal was written when he was 3. PT and OT should have been discussing support options. They instead brushed it off. His current therapists were horrified that we had never had orthotics or compression vests brought up through our entire time there. This meant my son continued to have falls and ABA had no communication that this was anything outside of normal. PT and OT should have discussed the potty training program with us to let us know what to expect with a child with hypotonia. Our current ones have explained how the muscles that let a child know they need to use the bathroom are not active and strengthening the core with the help of a compression vest can help. But since the therapists at BK are not the experts they claim to be on autistic children, ABA had no way of knowing this and the program made my child feel like a failure for not initiating to use the bathroom even though he couldn't feel it until it was too late. This is not in the scope of practice of a bcba but it is in the scope of an OT and PT to know. Speech was always a year behind his language and were working on prepositions, that had been mastered across several technicians over a year before. When emailed to meet with the therapist and go over his goals, there was never a single response. I never had one conversation with this therapist. Food therapy was done by their OT and all they worked on was the sensory component. With hypotonia there are additional needs and the OT refused to acknowledge this. She did admit he was stalled in progress for the last 6 months. She also emailed and lied to his pediatrician, but thankfully we have a very long and good relationship and instead of believing the OT, she recommended we go to a feeding specialty group. That led to his current food therapist that has been able to help him recover most of the foods he lost while at BK. She also works on his eating skills and has helped us to understand how the hypotonia has affected him and strategies her other hypotonia patients have used. We wasted 20 months and traumatized our child when we could have simply started with the outside therapies of speech, PT, OT, and eventually food therapy and this would be a completely different story. It was soon after we started food therapy with an outside therapist that we were kicked out. No meetings leading up. Just an email from one of the owners out of the blue asking that we meet with them to go over our son's plan of care. Strange since they were not medically licensed in any way and the one bcba added to the meeting was administrative and had never met our son or us. All of what I have written can be proven with the many emails back and forth with the owners and therapists.
They’ve got an amazing group of people here. Amazing with kids
Good people here — mission driven support of kids in need
Amazing staff! So welcoming and helpful!
Finding the right ABA therapy provider for your child can feel incredibly overwhelming, but discovering BloomKidz was a true relief! From the moment we first contacted them, the staff has been exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. It's clear they genuinely listen to parents and always act in our son's best interest. We've seen significant developmental progress in him since he started his therapy here. The dedication and expertise of the therapists are truly remarkable. They've created a supportive and engaging environment that has made a real difference. I wholeheartedly recommend BloomKidz to any fellow parent of an autistic child who is searching for a provider that truly cares and delivers results.
My ten year old Autistic son has been attending Bloomkidz Academy for seven months and has recently begun ABA and Occupational Therapy as well. I could not be more thankful for how caring, communicative and supportive the entire staff at Bloomkidz has been. My son was in complete burnout at the end of last school year when he attended a public school in a self contained classroom. We knew we had to make a serious change for his wellbeing. He was depressed, anxious and refusing school. I could tell from my very first meeting with Katie, one of the owners, that they understood what we were going through and that they truly wanted to help. My son is eager every morning to go to Bloomkidz and is not dysregulated at the end of the day. The Academy Instructors and Therapists truly know my son. They even make personalized worksheets that highlight his special interests to make learning more fun and engaging. He works in small groups and 1to1 and this model is truly what he needs. The difference in my son is night and day. His academics are soaring and most importantly he's a much happier person. Our life at home has improved as well because our stress level has gone down so significantly. We are so happy that we made the decision to switch to Bloomkidz and so thankful for all the wonderful people that work there.
We’ve been clients at Bloomkidz for almost 2 years now. After receiving our child’s diagnosis we felt lost and didn’t even know where to begin. We came across Bloomkidz and felt like it would be a good fit. We didn’t want to send our child somewhere that wanted to “fix” them rather find somewhere that embraced who they are and helped them with their challenges. We feel like Bloomkidz has done that and more. The facility is a beautiful, clean and safe environment with lots of different spaces that meet all different needs. The staff and upper management is extremely understanding, when we have brought personal concerns to them they always responded quickly and worked with us to come up with solution. We love our BCBA and all the techs that work with our child. We know our child loves who he works with, he is constantly asking to see his techs when at home and calls them his friends. His team is always so excited when sharing his accomplishments with us, you can tell they are truly invested in his growth. I don’t know where we would be today if it wasn’t for Bloomkidz. The progress our child has made here has been amazing, we can’t wait to see how much more he accomplishes while at Bloomkidz.
Our family has been incredibly fortunate to be part of the BloomKidz community. From day one, we've felt heard, supported, and genuinely cared for - not just as clients, but as people navigating a very personal journey. Any time I've had concerns or questions, the team has always welcomed me with compassion and understanding. As a parent, especially one who can get emotional when it comes to their child's care, that means everything. I honestly don't know where we'd be without BloomKidz. The impact they've had on our daughter - and on us as a family - is profound. The love, patience, and tools they've given us have made a lasting difference. Yes, the facility is beautiful, but what truly stands out is the heart behind the work. A special thank-you to our daughter's BCBA, who has been an incredible part of her journey. The connection they share is so meaningful, and I've never once felt judged or overlooked. She sees our daughter for who she is and supports her with so much kindness and skill - we are beyond lucky to have her on our team.
