Bold Steps saved my daughter‘s life. I was certain that she would die if action was not taken. From first contact with Bold Steps personnel(Dillon) to the present, I can only say good things about them. From helping me with supportive phone calls for me and my daughter who was homeless at the time and dealing with everything that can come from homelessness, there was a willing commitment to help in guiding me in the process of rescuing my daughter from the streets. They took care of me (and when I say they, it’s primarily Dillon ), when I needed phone support, and helped guide me and my daughter to a treatment facility. When it came time for something more permanent Bold Steps was there to help get my daughter into a longer term program. Today my daughter is well and healing and living her life, free from homelessness and all the problems that you can imagine when living on the streets. Thank you Bold Steps for helping to save my daughter‘s life.

I’m a clinician so this review is coming from a different perspective. I’ve been networking a lot with various facilities. It’s always hard to tell which facility is competent & ethical as all people / facilities are obviously trying to put their best foot forward when networking. This far, the management & staff have been responsive & communicative. I heard from other clinicians that some of their clients had gone there & had a good experience. So when my client needed a higher level of care, I already felt comfortable with them going there. My client has also reported a positive experience. So from an objective standpoint, my clients standpoint, and hearing from third/fourth parties, Bold Steps has been a wonderful place that cares & helps

The counselors and staff have excellent knowledge about the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. Best of all, they care deeply about their clients both while in treatment and after they complete the program.

Enroll at your own risk. My wife went to Bold Steps for three months and left after the frustrations became too much. She feels her anxiety has gotten worse over this time than better. For a place that deals with the mentally ill, they are very harsh whenever someone starts to spiral, expelling them from groups and leaving them to fend for themselves. The billing department is sketchy and disorganized. They did not disclose that our insurance was out of network. We still don't really know how we're gonna pay and we get different answers from different people there. The whole place is disorganized. And they seem more concerned with expanding, opening new facilities, offering new programs rather fixing their problems. When my wife tried to express how the problems at this place were making her feel, she was silenced, forbidden from speaking negatively about the facility. My wife is still in contact with some patients at this place. Even though they are still there, they largely agree with her complaints. It seems that every person there has had a bad experience with Rachel A. at the front desk. A very unkind and impatient person. My wife says that many people have left solely because of her. I'm giving two stars instead of one because there were some great people who care that my wife will genuinely miss. I hope these people go elsewhere so that people can get help from them without having to enroll at this place. To whomever is responding to negative reviews (probably Rachel): don't you dare copy and paste the same soulless pleasantries you posted on the other negative reviews. Disgusting behavior. And if you are/were at Bold Steps and have had a bad experience, I really encourage you to write a review. These reviews do not reflect the reality my wife and I are seeing from people upset with how things are.

This is a great program for both substance use disorders and mental health. They offer both an intensive outpatient program and a partial hospitalization program with virtual or in-person options depending on your need. They balance evidence based practices with individualized plans. Staff are competent and truly care. I would recommend to anyone needing such services.

I have struggled with mental health issues on and off for many years and have tried several different therapy approaches. After hitting a very low point in my life, I decided to try something different . I enrolled in the IOP at Bold Steps Behavioral Health to address both areas of my dual diagnosis. At first it felt overwhelming entering an unfamiliar setting, but knowing everyone was there to get better helped. It didn’t matter what we did for work, what our social status was or what religion we believed in- we all had something in common. Weekly group classes and one-on-one therapy gave me a structured plan to explore my mental health, learn coping skills, and better understand my alcohol use. They offer both daily general mental health groups and a group specifically for substance use. My primary therapist, Pam, was outstanding — she checked every box and helped me navigate my time at Bold Steps. Today I’m stronger, more determined, and in a much better place than I have ever been. I couldn’t have gotten here without the amazing and caring staff of this program; they truly care about the clients and most can relate to what we are going through on the other side. It is both motivating and encouraging to hear the chapters of their journey. I highly recommend Bold Steps to anyone seeking nonjudgmental support to improve their life. We all deserve to be happy!

Bold Steps Behavioral Health profoundly changed my life. The Intensive Outpatient Program challenged me to leave my comfort zone and address my mental health with honesty and commitment. After three months I developed practical coping strategies, a stronger toolkit for daily life, and a clearer path forward. The program’s curriculum, group therapy, and individual sessions are excellent, and the entire staff—including Kerry, Pam, Dillon, Zack and Bill—were compassionate, skilled, and supportive throughout my journey. My sincere thanks also go to the remainder of the team for their dedication and care. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking help with mental health or addiction.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care my son received and continues to receive at Bold Steps in Concord NH. The staff is not only highly skilled but also genuinely compassionate, creating an environment where my son felt safe and understood. Each therapist and counselor was dedicated, patient, and truly invested in his well-being. It was heartwarming to see him regain his confidence and hope through their guidance. Much to my surprise he looked forward to going each day! I cannot recommend Bold Steps enough for anyone seeking help for mental health or substance abuse challenges.
