It explicitly teaches how to socialize including phone calls, disagreements and gives scripts so it can become second nature. Dr. Chu is also amazing at collaborating with the school and outside providers and also making connections for your teen!
The program at Boston PEERS has been absolutely life changing for my son and our family! This is by far the most impactful social skills program he has ever engaged in. Dr. Chu is dynamic and incredibly dedicated to helping youth and families make progress. My highest recommendation!
Dr. Chu is kind, warm, engaging, and knowledgeable. She and her team do a wonderful job helping teens and young adults with social skills. We’re so pleased with the program and grateful for the opportunity to participate!
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Chu through the recommendation of a friend who participates in the program with his son. Without a doubt, everything I heard about Dr. Chu, her team, and the work they do with children and their parents who need social skills training is incredible. I can't say enough good things. Congratulations on the opening of your second location!
I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Chu and this program. Our son just completed it and we have nothing but positive feedback to give..the curriculum was well designed and tailored to the real-life social situations for young adults. Over the course of the program, we saw noticeable growth for our son in self-awareness and communication. The environment was inclusive and relaxed for our son and he felt very comfortable participating and learning. The weekly parent zoom's to reinforce the weekly lessons were very helpful also. As a parent, you also receive weekly emails from Dr. Chu with specific updates and suggestions about your child. I would highly recommend this program for anyone with a young adult child with neurodiversity.
