We came to this place hopeful for help with our non speaking autistic son. I have followed Dr Melillo on Instagram for a few years, and was so excited to find this place locally to help my son. Unfortunately, Brandon messed up the basic first step: which side of the brain to work on. He made an entire plan for the WRONG SIDE OF THE BRAIN and it greatly impacted my son negatively. As soon as we met with the Melillo office in New York virtually months later (because I suspected something was wrong with Brandon's approach), we were told to stop all treatments immediately because it was affecting my sons behavior. Sure enough, as soon as we stopped treatments here and started with the actual Melillo office in New York, my son has had minimal issues: no meltdowns for over a month and incredible improvement all around. Its extremely disappointing that Brandon failed our child so epically. To screw up the basic therapeutic part of the therapy of which side of the brain needs help was an absolute atrocity and could have been easily avoided with common sense. The only reason I continued here with my son (despite asking them multiple times if they were sure they were doing the right side of the brain) was because I am not the expert, HE was supposed to be and I thought maybe I was wrong! If you ever watch Dr Melillo on YouTube, Instagram, etc, you can easily see without any training what needs to be done for a non speaking autistic child. We spent 5500 dollars here, my husband took work off early for every single appointment to help and we made incredible sacrifices just for Brandon to have messed up the very basics. If you're looking into Brain Balance or the Melillo Method, please go straight to their New York office. They offer virtual programs and it has completely changed our lives and most especially my son's life. I also want to add, that as a selling point, Brandon told us our son could be speaking in 6 weeks after starting treatment at this center, which we didn't believe, but needed help so badly for our son, we still decided to attend this clinic. One of my greatest mistakes is not listening to my gut about this place and wasting thousands of dollars. There was only one front desk receptionist that was friendly, which is also a huge red flag. The Melillo New York office makes sure the children feel welcomed, seen and that the child's treatment is important to them,. There was even a day when two receptionists were MOCKING my son for having a hard day. As a clinic treating autistic children, this is disgusting and unacceptable behavior. The young men that were the therapy helpers were amazing, and all of this is geared towards Brandon and the people that should have known better and should have done the treatments CORRECTLY (there were others that oversaw my sons treatment. All of you are accountable).

Spent $5500 and 28 of 30 sessions to have the Melillo method done incorrectly. The director of the business chose the WRONG side of the brain to work on and didn't catch it despite obvious indications. This is the most basic thing in the Method, and it has to be done correctly. This had significant and dangerous consequences for my son. The reason why I am rating 2 stars is because the staff helping my son during sessions were excellent and very professional. After working with the actual Melillo Method team in NYC, they quickly figured out the error done by Bright Minds. My son in a very short time has had remarkable and life changing results thanks to the actual Melillo office in NYC.
