I go with my friend once a week upstairs to historical section and I read. There are a lot of homeless kids up there making all kinds of noise and cussing. I was raised when in a library you need to be quiet and respectful. Obviously I was the only one.

Walkers crowding my space. Smile, people should be smiling and protected , but they're not.

Very nice local library! The staff is lovely and the selection is decent. I only wish there were some more comfortable seating options as I’d love to spend more time here but that’s me being picky 😂

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon about 3pm trying to do some remote work. the parking lot was a pot hole disaster with individuals having a disagreement in the parking lot while smoking on the curb, tried to use the bathroom before doing work they had one bathroom working and a homeless guy was taking residency in the one toilet, while another was taking a bath in the sink. skipped bathroom after waiting 20 minutes to just work, found tables occupied by sleeping individuals. cool looking library but it is crazy. I felt unsafe walking around with my expensive work laptop.

A standard of my hometown, the BCPL has seen better days. Originally located on Exchange Street, the library was a comfortable place to crack open a book and spend a few hours in a beautiful building. Now, relocated at a former supermarket site, it provides free WiFi, a decent selection of DVDs, books and other materials. Not as wonderful as the original, but necessary.
