I can't say enough good things about this practice! Very neurodiversity affirming, they really meet kids where they are at and extremely child led and play based. Best in the area and many parents and educators agree. I highly recommend Tori Drake but they are all wonderful!
We were going to PDC which did not produce any results for our child. Changed to canyon kids and the way the OT works with and makes his activities interesting … our child is making progress.
As a nursery school director who collaborates with Canyon Kids for our spring and fall screenings, I can honestly say they are a joy to work with. Cristine and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable about child development and provide the children at my school with fun and creative activities to screen their development. For families who seek services at Canyon Kids, their therapy space is amazing, filled with love and care for each and every child in their care. The staff individualizes each child's programming to meet the unique needs of each child. They truly make a difference in the lives of the children and their families!
As a mother of children with differing needs, I truly appreciate Christine Sproat's approach to care. She is methodical and thorough, yet also very curious and inquisitive. She takes her time getting to know your child while both observing and welcoming them. My children definitely feel safe and understood as a result. As a professional who also works with families, I couldn't ask for anything more! Thank you Canyon Kids!!
The team at Canyon Kids is beyond qualified to handle a wide variety of special needs. Their staff is incredibly flexible and were most certainly accommodating. Their evaluation was very thorough of my son, and got him matched up with a great specialist who, not only had a host of certifications with children, but an extensive resume in acute care working with adults, in addition to pioneering a rehabilitation program at a local hospital. The sad fact is that COVID has decimated the health care industry and everyone is scrambling to keep their heads above water. These folks love children and do their best to handle everyone's various needs. The sad fact is some parents are very impatient and don't allow care givers and health care professionals the opportunity to be human too. These folks are highly rated for a reason and if you aren't satisfied with the therapist you get they are more than happy to try and align you with another that might be more suitable based on your preference. I have heard a number of patients remark that they have noticed marked improvements after just a few sessions with some of the OTs here. So let this be a couple more five star reviews from those parents who have enjoyed an improved family life because of this staff as well.
