By far the best Counselor I have had the pleasure of working with. You won't regret calling!
Sand tray therapy, talk therapy, EMDR, thought-mapping on a white board... Allison masterfully used a variety of counseling techniques, which helped me to make sense of things that had felt overwhelming, discouraging, and confusing. She's respectful, knowledgeable, and personable, and I do not hesitate to recommend her. She cares about her clients and is passionate about her work, which shows in the way that she listens to understand and works to bring healing.
I and my family have greatly benefited from the course Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program offered through and facilitated by Allison Rencher at Cedar Family Solutions. I feel indebted to Allison for caring enough about mental health to offer Dr. Nedley's program to those interested. I found Dr. Nedley to give delightful, knowledgeable and practical lectures. He presented his material in a lively, educated manner. Everyone, whether they have depression or not will encounter this subject in their lifetime. I do not have depression nor anxiety myself, but I know many who do and my understanding helps me be more educated and empathetic. It's a subject in which everyone should be intently interested. Everyone could benefit from this program. It was most informative and gave workable solutions to living a productive, happy life without depression and anxiety. There was no financial obligation nor was there a hidden agenda. It was just a kind, caring, educational opportunity--something rare today. I am so thankful I ran across and took advantage of this opportunity for growth! I am very grateful to Allison at Cedar Family Solutions and Neil Nedley, MD for enriching my life by adopting these practices for good mental health, regardless of our current mental state.
I can't say enough good things about Allison Rencher and her ability as a counselor. Her knowledge is both deep and wide. I know she cares about me, my challenges and my progress. I took her 8 week discussion/seminar about Depression and Anxiety. I learned so much and I am excited to take the next class about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I love Allison Rencher! I have taken a group Zoom class with her as the instructor. She's engaging, skilled, patient, humble, and just good with this material. I really enjoy listening to her, and trust her. I think she knows what she is doing and she can help people with all sorts of counseling needs. I'm not in the same city as her, but I feel like if I need personal counseling in the future, she will be my go to for sure. I've been to a few counselors in the past and I don't know if they are jaded, or didn't get what I needed, but she is the type of counselor that people are looking for. She is good at applying real skills and isn't afraid to say she doesn't know something so that she can get you the right information.
Helpful for my daughter, I have recommended to others and would visit again if needed.
I can't recommend this practice enough. My children and I lost my wife to cancer. Allison came highly recommended by someone I trust so we gave her a try. What an incredible experience it was for us. We mainly focused on anxiety and how it was affecting us all and I was stunned to see how quickly our lives changed for the better. She really helped one of my children through some difficult emotions and thinking. I can't recommend Allison enough.
