No one ever answers the phone. I'm not even sure how to schedule an appointment.
if i could rate this place a 0 i would. i have been with my partner for 5 years and i have pretty much lived with them the whole time. i have seen how simple day to day activities can be for them and the fact that Camille used the words "normal" and "quirky" to describe how they've been feeling. Seeing the look on my partners face after they just got invalidated was heart breaking. Also before you have a patient you need to tell them that you are still a student and that someone else will be looking through your information. I would definitely NOT recommend Camille Hoagland. Unless you want to feel invalidated and just be called quirky.
I have never felt more invalidated by going to this therapy center. I had Taylor Freeman for my first two sessions and i have nothing but nice things to say about Taylor. she made me feel so seen and present in the moment, she didn't make me feel dumb for not knowing answers or having to ask for clarification. Camille Hoagland on the other hand, made me feel very idiotic for not knowing answers to anything. She makes you feel like she understands your issues, but at the very last minute she will say something so insensitive to you that I had to step out of her office. I had my last two appointments with her plus my results, and she made conversations very uncomfortable and considering my meetings with her were with her were conversation based, it felt very awkward. she does not know or understand how autistic people can mask during appointments or with strangers, and gave me a misdiagnosis which I'm now pursuing with a second opinion because I + the two other people I brought with me simply believe she does not know me and misdiagnosed me, which is very disappointing considering i spent my whole summer from July - September doing purely appointments, and during that whole timespan I was also not consulted or made aware that my vulnerable paperwork and notes were being looked over by her supervisor, as she did not disclose to me that she is a student until the day of my results which made me feel beyond uneasy. Camille also outed me to my parents which I do not feel comfortable sharing that information to, and have expressed that to her through emails. I have so many more disappointing things to add to this because of Camille but without making this too long; I do not recommend this place to anyone if they're seeking validation in any diagnosis they may think they have -- at the very least do not make appointments with Camille Hoagland.
The lady who I spoke to on the phone was rude. She hung up on me in the middle of our conversation.
I took my son here to get an adhd assessment and had a wonderful experience. When I called to schedule they accommodated us so my son’s current teacher could fill out all the forms preventing a delay. Jennifer Gill made my son feel very comfortable, he had a smile on his face every session. We felt reassured talking with her knowing that he was being seen by someone knowledgeable and kind. Thank you! Highly recommend.
I called to schedule an appointment for my son to have an autism diagnosis at age 2 (recommended by his pediatrician and developmental therapist) and I was told there is “no way” any medical professional can really tell if a child under the age of 3 is on the spectrum and that I would just be wasting my time and theirs if I made an appointment. I was shocked at not only how rude she was, but how uneducated she was on the topic of childhood autism. My son is now almost 2.5 and we did get a diagnosis elsewhere.
I was dismissed as not having ADHD elsewhere because I did well in school. The assessment here was thorough, I was listened to, and the knowledge I had already gotten from my research was respected. I went for a separate assessment a few months later and the experience was just as excellent.
Dr. Dielman does a great job of making you feel comfortable and respected. All of the staff are 5 stars.
