This facility is a nightmare, they never answer the phone, super outdated in their approach and they also don’t offer in home services. It’s 2025, time for centra to look around at surrounding cities and states and see how far behind they are and what they are lacking when it comes to the special needs services.
My son has been referred for testing multiple times now ever since he turned 2 years old by his pediatrician and I've had to call on several occasions and have given them information also to set up an appointment and have been told multiple times that I'd receive a call back. I still have not received a call back. My son will be 4 soon.
You literally have to call 42 times before they answer the phone .. if you’re lucky .. & they don’t return voicemails , so that’s pointless too .
This is pretty much an autism center, that knows absolutely nothing about autism I was 10 years old going to this center with my father. I was concerned, because I knew myself, that I have autism and ADHD (especially ADHD). When I went here, I had a psychiatrist by the name of Jitendra Annapareddy. He said on our first appointment, within 5 minutes, that I didn’t have autism or ADHD! My dad then just disregarded by concerns because apparently a psychiatrist can look at me for five minutes and come to this conclusion. I’d also like to mention, there were about 3-4 women in there training to be psychologists in there, watching me and making me feel uncomfortable. I hardly even spoke, so it makes no sense how he could say I don’t have either of these! I’m now currently in my hometown with my amazing therapist, and she actually acknowledges my concerns and uses the DSM-5 for help with diagnosis. I’m currently doing multiple appointments for an autism assessment, instead of a random person saying I don’t have autism after 5 minutes of “knowing me”, children can mask!! She also believes it’s very likely I have ADHD, as well as my family now. I was in a horrible place when I was 10, and got no help except for medicine that never helped with my depression. He hardly listened to me, and never even asked if I was comfortable with these people supervising OUR appointment that WE are paying for. In general, horrible place. Noisy, bright, and just definitely not autism-safe. I’d see a high support needs autistic person REALLY struggling, especially if they can’t communicate for themselves here. I’m glad I can communicate for myself so that i can get the help I need in school and at home! If only I got that help four years ago, “Psychiatrist” and supposed “Autism Specialist” Annapareddy!
This place has been so amazingly helpful for my 14 year old. Theresa is so caring and knowledgeable. She always made sure to talk directly to my child. We moved out of state and even though he can no longer be seen by this center they are still incredibly helpful with our transition until we can find a new center. They don’t always answer the phone like others have mentioned but they are quick to respond to any emails. I’m glad I ignored the bad reviews and stuck with our appointment.
