I have been going to Charter Oak since January of 2024. I have had nothing but a positive experience and have gained a lot of support in my personal development and mental health. I highly recommend! Sky is the best!

I would highly recommend this place. Easily the best experience I have ever had. Steve is outstanding. He is empathetic and warm but will still challenge you to be the best version of yourself. If I could give ten stars, I would!

I have been going to Charter Oak for a few years now and they are absolutely amazing! Over the years, they have always provided a safe, happy and healthy environment for adults and adolescents who attend Charter Oak. There is always a warm smile and a welcoming gesture from their team. They will have snacks and waters for their waiting space, along with toys, books, and much more for the kiddos! I have gained so much confidence in myself from the help of Charter Oak. With all they provide for their clients and for each other, it shows how strong and how fabulous Charter Oak is! My therapist was on vacation one week, and I saw another clientele. Of course, it was a little nerve wracking, but, it was such a great session! Left with a good feeling. I also gained a great relationship with another therapist who I can trust and go to, make a session with, if I need a change, or if I need absolutely anything! Everyone there is to help US and help themselves! Knowing I have a team on my side, a team who I can trust and value, it makes me feel good about going to therapy!

I was receiving services for many years and I am grateful for the help that I received. I learned so much and I have kept in touch because of the care I received. . Charter oak family center staff go out of their way to help you in anyway possible. Easy to get in touch with someone if you need help. I highly recommend this center for all ages. If you need help this is the place to go.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience. My daughter saw Kristin P. Unfortunately, we did not have a positive interaction with this therapist. When I or my daughter expressed that sessions were not helping, she was offended. The approach also came across as scripted, as if questions were being read directly from a list, rather than engaging with my child in a warm, personable way. During what would be our last session, my child and I were abruptly hung up on (Zoom) after we again tried to express our feelings about the sessions. We never heard from her again, my daughter was in tears. It was tremendously unprofessional to say the least. I believe children need to feel safe, heard, and respected during therapy, and in this case, that standard wasn’t met. I hope this feedback encourages a more compassionate and professional approach in the future, as the work being done is so important. Would NOT recommend
