This office left a voicemail on my child’s father’s phone in Denver, CO about a behavioral health appointment for a patient named “Jay” ironically, my child’s name. My son is not, nor has he ever been, a patient here, and the practice is located in New Mexico. When I called back, Tanya repeatedly asked for my child’s information. After I provided it and explained I am his parent, she said she “needed to check HIPAA” — ironic, since a HIPAA violation had already occurred when they left sensitive health information on the wrong phone. She also claimed the patient she was trying to reach was 28 and lives in New Mexico, which was clearly inconsistent with the voicemail message. This was not a simple misdial. Sensitive information about behavioral health should never be disclosed to unrelated families in another state. The lack of care and accountability here is deeply concerning. I am filing a HIPAA complaint.
I give Buddy credit for this practice, he’s incredible. The rest of the staff are useless. They don’t answer the phone and most of the time never return phone calls. I had to drive from home (45 min drive) to their practice just to get something sent over to my insurance and they still haven’t done that. As a patient, it’s so inconvenient for me to have to drive to the practice to get a hold of someone. I don’t recommend and I’ll be looking for a new provider.
Absolutely appalled by the service and lack of care from this office specifically the front desk receptionist and medical assistants. They cancel appointments last minute and when you call back for an explanation it’s an inconvenience. When you explain that your medication is off and you’re feeling manic— they tell you we can book the next available appointment. If you’re feeling suicidal they’ll just say go to the Emergency Room. But if that’s not bad enough they’re literally annoyed that you called in the first place and just put you on an emergency call list BUT they actually WONT call you; they’ll message you via mychart because they don’t care enough about you or if you acted on your harmful thoughts or if you’re alive. Even though you ask a MA to leave a message for your provider; they won’t call or even mychart. The providers are fine but you’ll go through about 3-5 in the same year because they can’t seem to keep providers.
I had to file a court complaint to have Christus keep my very unstable psychotic sister an extra week, as so called "doctor" Dasari said "her hands were tied," and was going to put her on the street They wanted her back on the street again after 6 months of being there! (when psychotic she can't recognize family) A week after discharge my sister saw a Dr Tapp, who was the most dismissive human I have every come across in my life. (retaliation perhaps??) He saw her for maybe 60 seconds, gave her a different prescription from her discharge doctor, and said he would see her in 3 months. She is very fragile and unstable from being homeless 6 months. No follow up care, nothing. A poor excuse for medical care! Beware!!
Dr. Freedman truly is a man who personally cares about his patients. He will attempt to remedy a condition with pharmaceuticals (when necessary) alongside natural treatments. He will listen to what you have to say, and keeps an open mind vis-a-vis treatment options. Most importantly, Dr. Freedman recognizes the diversity of individuals on the phycological level and will not treat every patient as the same.
