We have had very mixed experiences with Clifford Beers. It was really helpful when they opened up the Hamden clinic for evals for kids who weren't their current clients. I don't know if they are still doing that, but with all the waiting lists out there for families seeking neuropsych evals, it helps a lot to have this service in the community. However, Clifford Beers' management and approach is poor enough that they lose their best, most skilled, most experienced providers fairly regularly. They are very limited in the types of care they can provide, and a kid's needs have to fit into a particular time frame for that kind of care or they get discharged from services before their care is complete.
Clifford Beers of Hamden is conveniently located off of Dixwell Ave. with plenty of parking across the street. Clean environment and helpful staff.
