Coastal Kids Pediatric Dentistry

Amazing pediatric dentist! This is our fourth visit and it has been great so far. Our dental hygienist was SO kind to our three year old and made him feel immediately comfortable and at ease. Both our one and three year old got through the entire visit without any tears and left feeling happy. The whole staff is great with kids. Highly recommend.

Used to be a good office. My daughter was due to have fillings last December. They cancelled that appointment. Soonest I could reschedule for was February in the office 45min from my house. I was on my way to the appointment today about ten minutes away and called to make them aware we are running 10-15 minutes behind as I had to get her from school and traffic was heavy. Only then was I made aware they “called” to let me know the appointment was rescheduled AGAIN, but they couldn’t leave a voicemail as my voicemail was full. I don’t even have so much as a missed call from them. Crazy thing is I kept going to them because I liked the office, even after my insurance changed and they’re out of network so I end up paying more. I won’t be returning.

Well today I found out that my kids can no longer go to any coastal Kids Pediatric dentistry because a long time ago my kids missed appointments do to transportation issues and I was staying in Seaford at the time with two little babies while I hàd to find rides to get there and if you use the state transportation they would never come get you , so this happened like 10 years ago , so this is the worst experience ever , and when I walked in today the receptionist was talk to another receptionist and told me to hold on for a min to finish up her conversation, wow this was bad , so think twice before going here

I give 3 stars because of the staff. The front desk staff who are the front face of the practice is not very welcoming. Very blah, very monotone. & the check out desk is just about the same. We’ve not had a bad experience with the hygienist or Dr, but I feel like the front desk and check out are just as important.

My son is 18 months old and this was his first dental appointment. Even though he cried we appreciated Dr Irving’s patience and care. We look forward to further visits with our growing boy

We loved our experience every appointment we have had ! Tonight my 13 year old went for a cleaning and exam and all the staff from the front door to the Dr were amazing ! Everyone is friendly and kind and great at working with kids! I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Overall staff/dr’s are great with children during the appointment- but the appointment and scheduling process should be better. They say you receive automated text message/phone calls to confirm appointments that never come through. Then when you call to verify additional insurance the day before an appointment, they can’t even tell you that you didn’t confirm via their system and it’s cancelled so you show up and miss work for nothing. Get re-scheduled another month later just for them to call and re-schedule due to “scheduling conflict”. It’ll be 3 more months before my child can be seen. A little frustrating when you’re a working parent of multiple children so keep that in mind when dealing with this office.

The dental hygienist could have been a bit more kid friendly but our dentist, Dr. Irving was incredible! He was so patient and kind to my 3yo nervous daughter. He made the entire experience enjoyable and stress free. I’m happy there are providers like him
