When my son was 2.5 years old, we completed different evaluations to determine the cause and remedy of certain daycare challenges. When referred to Coconut & Palm by our pediatrician (Potomac Pediatrics), their assessment concluded that my son could benefit from support for social and emotional skills, self-regulation, and sensory processing. We began immediately with Ms Heidi once per week and have now been seeing her for 5 months. In that time, my son has become very attached to, trusting of, and excited about Ms Heidi - he asks to go see her multiple times a week, jumps and squeals when she opens the door, and is quite devastated to leave her when the session is over. As for his progress, we are witnessing incredible growth in cognitive capacity, fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional regulation, and more. We don't know how long my son will benefit from these services, but we do know he'll enjoy every moment with Ms Heidi.

I truly can’t recommend them enough for kids and anyone needing pelvic floor PT. Kaitlyn and Heidi have been amazing to work with and both me and my son are doing so much better with their care. It’s an outstanding medical care and much needed for our community.

I really can't recommend this practice enough! My son has been coming here for physical therapy services for over a year. He had pretty severe gross motor delays and has made so much progress! He may be graduating from PT soon. I am very excited for him but also will be sad to no longer work with his PT. Kaitlyn is phenomenal with children and is very experienced and knowledgeable in her area of expertise. I am always impressed with her creativity and flexibility in getting my son to "work" and do hard things while also enjoying his time there. I can't thank her enough for the skills and independence she has helped my son develop. Throughout his time here, we noticed he had speech delays as well. It was really great to be able to seek speech therapy at a place where my son was already comfortable. The team was really responsive to this need and we were able to add these services quickly. Sydney has been great to work with! She was able to build a rapport and learn his strengths and weaknesses quickly. My son also loves his speech services! Overall this practice is welcoming, flexible with your schedule, loves working with kids, and very knowledgeable. It has also been so exciting to see them grow into a new location and then expand this location. They are doing great things from the children and families in this community!

I was recommended for physical therapy with Kaitlyn for my son, who had some pretty delayed gross motor development, and then ended up bringing him and his twin sister for speech therapy with Courtney. Both of my kids love their appointments. They worked to get us on a manageable schedule. Scheduling is one of the toughest and most intimidating parts of putting kids in private therapy, because there are so many waiting lists! But they find ways to make it work for us. I'm a big fan of the whole team. Everyone is fun, laid back, and you can tell that they really love their jobs and care about our kiddos. 200/10, no notes!!
